After the 2 colossal failures that were my ‘Vault of Glass’ & my ‘Vow of the Disciple’ day 1 runs, I thought it was time to put on the training wheels again. In the videos the best of the best players that Destiny 2 has to offer attempt to help me learn more about raiding… or… that was the idea of the video…

HeroicVanara sounds like Cynical Reviews with a scottish accent and its distracting me
CHEESEBURRGERR
I dont play destiny at all, but Venera is the kind of raidleader that we all wish for, lets be honest
Imagine doing lfgs
This post was made by refuses to do anything without matchmaking gang
I'm more amazed by your tricks to change subject X'D. Assist raids are soooo funny, it's a total mess, but i was able to finish one raid, our guide was epic. He was italian, and he had to speak english to me, so i could translate in German and French. We took 4h to finish the raid X'D. The guy was an italian Gandalf.
OUHH
Was watching and wondering why this felt so familiar, the then line "basically 5man-ing the raid" reminded me…
The teaching run me and 2 friends did of vog in d1… we got 2 people joined and tried to 5 man it… there was an older apologetic dude, and an energetic child.
Wild fkn run, we let them try the relic, swap spots when we wipe to get a feel of the sides and plates, and after a dozen wipes on aetheon because it would never teleport me in too (i knew how to melee three oracles in it, friends only could manage 1/2) we were frustrated because the kid didn't kill a single damaged oracle again.
We inspect his gear… he was using an unleveled thorn (exotics had to be leveled, it didnt have perks like barrel/poison/etc) and when we asked he said he was using it the whole raid… we asked if he had any ar's as it was better then a handcannon for oracles, even a blue one that dropped from an ad or something, he said "I only have one autorifle, but I dont like it because it is really bad and sucks" we asked him to show it off… im not fucking joking, it was a fully leveled atheons epilogue… with the fucking oracle killer perk… idfk how he got it, idk… we asked him to please use it for just one run… he still didnt kill a single oracle and we wiped, he ragequit…
The older dude (not actually old, maybe mid30s) was apologetic that we didnt get to finish the run and sorry for taking our time, was ready to leave before we said "nonono wait, we will get one or two more from lfg rather then end it even if its late"
After the post, my friend dimitri said "want to do it us 4 so he can practice killing oracles?"
So the game teleports my 2 friends and the random in, and they kill the oracles, we one phase the boss, and as much as id love to say he got mytho, he didnt… but he was very happy to have a clear, and some experience, and we all laughed that we beat it at 4 when we couldnt at 5
Oh, also, this makes me very appreciative of our resident clan Sherpa krpytoknight for being such a good teacher (altho he sometimes rushes when our clanmates who know joke around)
As someone who has had a decent amount of LFG experience here's my LFG survival guide
1) Don't raid when the majority of your region is asleep. In my case (pst) starting either around 10AM or 6pm gave the best groups, while if you went later you would get a lot of impatient or short-tempered people who just wanted the raid done.
2) Read the room when you join in. If the team isn't having fun before you joined, they won't be after either.
3) KWTD runs are a massive hit or miss. I have had both my most and least chill runs in KWTD groups. I usually preferred joining teams teaching as the lower expectations made everyone more relaxed.
4) Joining as an extra for a clan or friendgroup will end up exponentially better than randoms. This goes back to the second point where if the group is already laughing and joking around they WILL have more fun during the run. A group of friends is very likely to fit into that category
5) Sherpas are your friends, especially ones with the designated role on the server. They earned that with their patience and charisma. If you find a teaching one group with a sherpa you're more likely to get a chill group
6) Alright this one might be a little unfair to some of y'all but if you see a person with their IRL face as their PFP be cautious. Almost all of the toxic people I ran with (at least the ones who were bad enough to be memorable) had their PFP as a filtered pic of their face and a narcissistic attitude to match. Don't turn them down based on that alone, but try to chat them up before you let them in and see how they are. If your team is going along with point 2 waiting a few extra minutes should be no issue.
7) People who care about raid reports for non-KWTD runs are a hard hell no. If they wanted a competent team KWTD would suffice and they know that.
8) Rooms with lower numbers fill out faster. Get the lowest one you can unless you're waiting on a friend to join, in which case choosing a higher number and moving down is preferable. I do recommend this over being in a separate external vc with your friend before they choose a channel as picking one can be a little bit of a pain sometimes, especially if you're following point 1 and raiding at a high activity time. Reserve a high channel and once they join move up to fill up faster. Anyone who's joined upto that point wouldn't care much about moving over if it means a faster fill time.
Best of luck with your raid clears

This is actually the very reason I don't play destiny anymore. I'm tired of paying for content I can't play without a third party matchmaking app. I ran leviathan hundreds of times. I have barely raided the next two raids, and I've never raided any of the other raids. I've only done a couple of the dungeons. I've never run a grandmaster nightfall. This is all pointless content for me, and I refuse to pay for it until they add matchmaking to all playlists. Since they will never do that, I won't be paying for destiny ever again.
HeroicVanara is a god.
My cawk got hard watching him.
I’m not a Sherpa per say but I like to go to vog and help new players get through it
hey would you like to do the new raid?
4:51 again…shes probably from 🏳️⚧️
That 95 or above is good, since even that’s a below average iq
Look, listen. I ain't gonna lie to you. I judge a good raid run, on how much I have fun, smile and or laugh. And some of those Last Wish clips had me rolling. CHEESEBURGER! I can't….🤣
I feel bad for the people I Sherpa, because I’ll explain every minute detail about the encounter for like, 10 minutes and I feel like I’m boring the shit out of them 😅
1:16 the fact that he disliked the comment is HILARIOUS MARCO IS A GENIUS! i came looking for it in the comments and couldnt find it LMAO
Your not there YOUr not there…..YOUR NOT THERE, if they don’t know where to go explain where they should go
🤯🤯
Doubt this is a lfg
"what does the again mean there" Oh sweet summer child
props for jkuzi the only taking it serious and keeping it chill
“Will kick if brain dead”
4:42 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Cheeseburger!!!!😂😂😂😂
I've done most of my raids lfg .so far I have completed 20 or so .master and normal combined so I would say it's not so bad
I had to carry a clan through LW once, and had to explain how to cheese Riven without knowing as to which room she’ll spawn in
13:58 32K damage is crazy tho 💀
The first raid i did was vault of glass we did the finale encounter with 4 noobs and 2 veterans took so many attempts but everyons was chill and no one was mad about it.
Cheeseburger!
I explain quick but one thing that gets me frustrated as hell is ad clear. I usually ask nicely 1-3 times for people to run a gl or trinity ghoul. Or a great solar hammer build. Idk I guess I can be a hypocrite but I don’t like people who just want to get carried and not do any help.
13:14 Bro sounded like Patrick from Spongebob… "CHEESEBURGER!"
Wacht wat ben je nederlands
i bet sammys blonde
Only hard raids to learn are vow of Disciple and the deep stone crypt.
O ye something gun to know season 21 is in the sea. May Rhulk knew this because the final objective at the vow of disciple raid was DROWNDROWNDROWN
Trust me you want yo cheese it. As a sherpa you really dont get the teacher started on Riven Legit
Have you ever watched iiSeeker. He’s a great teacher. He would be a great one to go undercover with.
no u
I feel bad for sammy, she was trying her best in the raid, tho i'll admit, VoW is hard to learn, i had it rough as well. DsC, the teacher's patience is admirable, i teached 5 Friends, took us 2 months for 1 clear, so they did a great job. As for last wish, haven't done this raid enough legit to do it without screwing up Somewhere somehow during the raid. I kinda avoid lfg, but seeing stuff like that is great, keep it up marco
Teaching Vow to rando’s, that man is a saint.
What server did you use? I never see people looking to Sherpa T_T
this man literally took A SINGLE YOUTUBE COMMENT, and made a whole ass video out of it.
I legit have no friends so this give me no hope it's so annoying finding a team
“ ill slap your tits so hard you’ll turn back into a man” had my dyinggg
Vanara is such a chad
Yeah I did VoG for the first time in a WHILE and these dude cheesed everything and didn’t even bother to teach us then rage quit when we didn’t know what to do
The “is teir 8 resil hood for this encounter” and the response made this video great
"CHEESEBURGER, CHEESBURGER" 😂
Ngl the last wish team seems like the chillest team to raid with
