  1. The genius of the Jenga metaphor is that it makes it impossible to be wrong.
If the Bills lose, you can say โ€œsee the tower is clearly unstableโ€ and if they win you can say โ€œwell itโ€™s still early, in Jenga the tower doesnโ€™t collapse until the end.โ€

  2. Jon Cooper Stanley Cup winning coach of the Tampa Bay lightning was a lawyer who gave up being a lawyer to be a hockey coach. Probably one of the craziest success stories. No background as a hockey player. Won championships at almost every level he has been a head coach.

  4. Your somewhat encyclopedic knowledge of the history of the NFL really makes for an enjoyable hour โ€ฆ and itโ€™s free here on YouTube. Thank you. By the by, the memorable NFL game for me was the Lions beating the Browns in the 1957 Championship game on December 29 1957 in Briggs stadium by the score of 59-14. Memorable not only because I was a lifelong Lions fan but mainly because I was there in person to watch it all unfold. I don't recall who was the game MVP but my choice would have been Tobin Rote who had come on late in the season replacing an injured Bobby Layne. Rote came in with a hot hand after beating the 49ers in Kezar the prior Sunday 31-27 after trailing 7-27 early in the 3rd quarter which I had watched on TVโ€ฆ and my buddy and I were in the ticket line at 4 AM the next morning. Tobin Rote was also the placeholder for a field goal attempt midway thru the gameโ€ฆ but apparently Buddy Parker had called for a fake field and Rote picked up the ball, rolled right and threw it to a receiver in the end zone for yet another score and the place went wild. Lastly, no fewer than six of the starting Lions players are now in the HOF.

  5. Joe Brady is a weird one.
Yes, the offensive scheme is "Josh Allen Please Do Magic" or "Throw it to Diggs" and thats fallen off.
As QB coach, what has Brady done this season to improve Josh's play?
Help him make better decisions, help him with ball handling and security, can the QB coach come up with QB designed runs? Has he done that.
Is the offense going to change that much or at all?
    Guess we'll see.

  6. I liked DTR coming out of college. I think he has a chance. The Browns are a good team, its really the only way later round QB's have a chance. YOu look at some of the more famous late round guys…Purdy, Dak, Brady, and they all have something in common, they got their chance with very good teams. They were able to start out as game managers, and grow into bigger roles. You could throw Wilson on the pile too, I jsut didnt include him because 3rd round isnt really considered a late round pick, for a QB you could easily argue it qualifies. As a late round QB, if you ever get your chance its only a game or 2 and if it doesnt go well thats about it, you dont get much of a chance. Playing for a good team where you can rely on the run game and defense not turn the ball over and be efficient, gives you a chance.

  8. The closest to the lawyer question, I could come up with, is Allan Page wen from a hall of fame football player to a state supreme ct judge. Kind of shocking Mike didnt at least mention that.

  9. It's not laziness to look at Dobbs and not believe he'd be worth bringing back in. He wasn't great in Arizona and his time in Minnesota has been an anomaly compared to the rest of his career
