  1. You NEED to watch the whole thing.. FYI: the last episode of the first series of Derry Girls ends with Dreams playing.. I fucking cried!!! I've never had that reaction.. but maybe its because I lived through the Troubles…

  5. If you like shows from the UK, I can't recommend Mrs. Browns Boys, an Irish sitcom, and Mulberry, an English sitcom, enough. Mulberry is the easy one, because all the episodes are on YouTube literally for free. it's an early 90s dark Britcom (did I mention dark?) about a flamboyant manservant who comes mysteriously to apply for a job working for a miserable older lady and he ends up liking her and tries to make her last days on earth worth living. But he has a dark secret. Again, did I mention dark? There are some supernatural elements to it, but there's no crazy special effects or anything. It's definitely worth the watch.

  7. The film Michelle's referring to at the beginning is pulp fiction, not long come out which tells you when it is

    BTW the actress who plays Clare (the fasting girl) is actually in her mid 30s when she filmed this

  32. I'm always looking for Derry girls reactions but it seems not a lot of reactors do it and this appeared on the front of my homepage! I hope you do all seasons it's my favorite comedy show

  34. Derry Girls is such a good show! Witty, clever humor throughout with the backdrop of the Political Conflict (aka "The Troubles") going on at the time in Northern Ireland. It is a really unique contrast that plays well through the episodes/seasons with what is going on outside Derry and the coming of age of these teens within. The characters are so good. You will also come to love Sister Michael very much. Her humor mixed with her "I am tired of this crap" attitude, is hilarious. Great pick for a show! I would also suggest Schitt's Creek as another one of those shows where the comedy is well written and top notch acting. Kim's Convenience is good too. Lots of fun humor that keeps you engaged. Solid reaction!
