  1. Orange County and SoBo were once owned by the same person and he refused to deal with the sewage problem (lack of sewage drain off). That's the main reason why Orange County has went down hill.

  2. Also, as someone who lives right next to Texas Motor Speedway, i can say without a doubt, that theres nothing wrong with the big hoss tv. I was at the indycar race 2 days ago and it was working perfectly. And that facility is first class. Its beautiful there. Now, the track layout… thats another story altogether! But as far as amenities and facilites, its definitely one of the best out there.

  3. I'm a Denny and 23XI fan and i 100% think he is right. I have never been to a track but what i have seen from watching nascar some tracks need updating. Like with the new gen 7 tires old tracks like auto club kills the tires and #8 showed that with leading to popping a tire just on exit of turn 2.

  4. Nascar just like all the other corporate fools. Went woke! used to go to several races a year, now I don't/ won't even watch. Need more diversity? Promote by color not ability, no thanks.

  5. I've been going to races since the mid-80s. I agree the experience isn't the same as it was in the 2000's. But this isn't a Nascar or even an SMI issue. The sponsors are not there. With the decline in Nascar popularity, goes sponsor money…. and the "carnival" like experience. A company will invest in this type of promotion if there is a return. But tracks don't even come close to selling out. So why would a company, who us also struggling with cash flow, invest in that type of marketing. It's easy to sit back and dream of the "good old days". But simply saying "tracks should do better" is sort of a blinded take on the subject. There are a lot of factors out of Nascar/SMI's control.

  6. Havent been to a Nascar track since i left emergency services a few years ago most of them used to be pretty nice, But is simple to understand if Nascar is not keeping them up it will eventually result in loss of fan base.

  7. We used to go down to Fontana every year until around 2006 when they fenced off the souvenir trailers you had to have a ticket to buy a shirt then to get into the infield you had to buy a wrist band the cost you 100 dollars that was it for me

  8. Bathrooms ar Richmond and Martinsville are really, really bad, filthy, doors with plywood doors, hinges falling off, a long Pee tank and the stench is unreal. Food is terrible and too damn expensive.

  9. I agree.. I was at Bristol last year for the playoffs.. they really didn't have much going on there that I could see.. Yes they had a stand and some singer.. but other then that I really don't think there wasn't much.. Hey can't complain the race was great Larson won.. Elliott and Harvick got into it.. Couldn't ask for anything better for my first trip to a NASCAR track.. Especially my favorite one..

  10. I’m afraid some of y’all might be missing the bigger picture. Nascar is trying to reinvent itself, trying to align itself with the woke social agenda. In order to destroy what most of us life long hard core fans love about the sport, they must first destroy our interest, our passion for that sport. I’ve been going to and taking my family and friends to the Talladega and Atlanta tracks since the mid 80’s . In the late 90’s Atlanta started shifting to the hipster crowds and immediately the experience changed for the worst. After having to whoop a dude’s ass over him cussing at my 12 year old son we stopped going as often.

But also …… life after covid….. it’s going to take a little while to bring the experience back to the track. And the all-in-one souvenir tents suck, the prices are stupid high.

One thing that struck me as big disappointment was the in-track vending ( 80s-90s was pretty good and getting better ) . Now for the last 10-15 years it’s dropping off, it’s like really bad food and overpriced beer are your only options.

  13. any race other than Nascar cup races, there are plenty of facilities. however, during a Nascar cup race, if you want to use the restroom or food vendors, you can and will miss half the race trying to pee or getting a solid gold bottle of water. solid gold because it is 6 times as expensive as any other store.

  14. the most expensive thing about a race is the cost of a motel/hotel. even when you prepay for a reserved room, you will not get the room you prepaid for. $130 for a ticket but $700 for the hotel/motel room. not worth the cost.

  15. Just started watching you and caught this episode. All I can say is Amen brother. I relate NASCAR to a landlord. They're spending all the money taking care of penthouse people and ingnoring the foundation it's all built on, which is exactly opposite of Big Bill' s genius that they're systematically destroying. I give your content 5 bologna burgers for common sense excellence.
