“Vice President Kamala Harris mistakenly touted the U.S. “alliance with the Republic of North Korea.”

“So the United States shares a very important relationship, which is an alliance with the Republic of North Korea, and it an alliance that is strong and enduring,” she said on Thursday at the Demilitarized Zone between South Korea and North Korea.

As anyone with a passing knowledge of American foreign policy is aware, North Korea is an adversary, while South Korea is an ally of the United States.

Harris visited the DMZ a day after North Korea launched two ballistic missiles that fell into the East Sea. The vice president was in East Asia to attend the Tuesday state funeral in Tokyo of assassinated former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, who was assassinated in July and was cremated. Harris called the missile tests “part of [North Korea’s] illicit weapons program which threatens regional stability and violates multiple UN Security Council resolutions.”

  4. the stupidity was that it was not at all important to have anyone even remotely competant, as long as it was anti trum, democrats and leftis would make a earthworm president becuse doing right, building the nation, jobs, etc etc is not important to them, only AGAINST is, and this why we see this, and it was said beforehand.

  11. Biden clearly has cognitive issues, but those sorts of slip-ups can happen. People without those issues can and do forget a person who they aren't particularly close to or in constant contact with have died. It does make it worse that he forgot since he called the family but I agree with Cenk 100% that the WH press secretary just made it worse by trying to deflect and make it appear that he didn't forget but that he was just acknowledging her work because she was on "top of mind". Makes it look like a denial and a lie and just feeds into the Right's divisive rhetoric.

Oh dear God, ,,, ok I'm a Democrat and obviously voted for biden but harris is an aweful politician ,,, I mean she is not a stupid woman I'm sure she's very good in her wheelhouse but she really doesn't appear to know what she's doing or even talking about….. And for some reason and I'm not sure what it is she is extremely off putting and that laughing cackle that she does in response to something that she does not know how to answer,,, it's such an obvious tell and it's so awkward and annoying!!!,,, She brings nothing to the table and I think she is a drag on the ticket if Biden decides to run again….
