Retired Colonel DeLewis Porter graduated from BYU in 1973 in Counseling & Psychology, but that had nothing to do with what he was about to do for the rest of his career. Instead, he flew the B-52 bomber and U2 reconnaissance planes for the Air Force and the ER-2 on scientific studies for NASA.
