P.S. the yabby mission was a bust. Water was too clear and the very soft mud for meters away from the edges made access difficult. Lots of little fry in the net and 1 eel that didn't want to let go of the bacon was all we saw. I did close a gate that had been left open to the road that had horses in the paddock so not a total waste of time lol. cheers.

I've got those pyramid traps (2) – they are sold as being suitable for yabbies- but they are also good for crabs. only trouble is the crabs were hopping in, eating the bait, then merrily hopping out again, so I have used some shade cloth to cover the opening (with an entry hole).
