A major storm followed by an arctic cold snap hampered fishing efforts this week, but after the Christmas holiday came and went, things began to settle down a bit. Party boat fishing on Coxes Ledge remained hot through the storm and should stay that way through the end of the sea bass season on Saturday. The cold snap also gave inland anglers a short window of safe ice that will close with the coming warmup and rain. The best advice is to take advantage of the weather, as things thaw out, we will see a return to open water fishing, but there’s no way of knowing how long it will last, so make it count!
