TODAY’S GOSPEL: Luke 2:1-14
The Gospel of Luke reminds us that there are no accidents in God’s plan. “Do not be afraid,” the very first words of the angel when He announced to the shepherds the coming of Christ, were also the first words of the angel to the women who visited the tomb of Christ. This is the mystery of our faith, coming into full circle: a celebration of Christ’s humanity during His birth and a celebration of Christ’s divinity during His Resurrection. “Glory to God in the highest and peace on Earth.”
