  1. This all just feels wrong. I think I'll stick to firestorm. Still don't know what to think of the knights. Does their damage output warrant the cost (whatever that may actually be)? The land raider that was going to carry them seems far more useful.

  2. Where is the excitement coming from regarding deep strikes in turn 1? I understand strategic reserves units cannot come into play normally until the second turn, but deep strike is a separate category of reserve units without a core restriction on arriving in the first turn. The only reason I'd consider turn 1 guaranteed deep strike important is if I drew the single mission rule that delayed reserves on a 3+ until turn 3.

  3. If the vowed target and/or strat stacks with the chaplains "add 1 to the wound roll" that could have some potential. Chain fists against vehicles would wound on 2, and fists in general would wound on 3s or better.

  4. I picked up the box set as I loved the new models and was so excited… Like there Primarch they will be put in the dark in my closet until the time is right … seems like this rules team knows nothing about The First 😢

  5. Who decided that The Lion couldn't get access to the Deathwing trait? Why would you ever take him when he can't benefit from his own Legion rules, that he invented on top of being a monster so he doesn't meet the requirements on a bunch of other stuff?

  6. One thing that wasn't mentioned is the Terminator Ancient. Bumping terminators to 2 OC and giving bonuses to hit & wound can be very useful for a squad not going towards your Vowed Target.
The versatility of its weapon choices also can give you some extra/varied melee attacks to the unit it's attached to.

  7. I’m frankly incredibly excited to get the death wing assault box and I’m excited to get them on the table. I’m a newer player so competitive play is definitely a little far out for me but at my local store it looks like it’ll play fine and fairly fluffy and to me that’s what’s important!
