  1. I have a relative who is a Bobby in Chelmsford, he was telling me that they knew it had been coming for a few days. Still, when the dispatcher came across the radio and said "London Bridge Has Fallen", he broke down.

  2. I served Her Majesty for 30 years, thinking I was a tough soldier.
The news came through when I was driving. I had to stop and have a cry in the car.
So sad the world lost that amazing lady.
    RIP Your Majesty.

  3. I could not understand anything the Pilot was saying.
My Father was born one day after her on April 22, 1926. A WW2 Veteran and passed this year on March 29th. at the age 0f 96 years, 11 months and 3 days, 1 month short of his 97th Birthday.

  4. After seeing the news she was in medical isolation that morning, I expected the news she had passed wouldn't be long in coming. But when I heard the official news later that day, it was such a strange feeling. I'd expected it, yet it was so strange to think. When someone has been part of the world for so long, a small part of you really starts to think they'll always be there.

  5. In Australia, the passing of our longstanding Head of State, Queen Elizabeth II was similarly felt, but not with the same depth of impact. The declaration of 22 September 2022 as a national public holiday for her memorial service was opposed by many on economic grounds. There was also little enthusiasm for King Charles as our new Head of State.

  6. I was out walking in the country side. I knew she was unwell, but I could see a union flag on the golf club at full mast in the distance so knew all was well. Then i hear rifle fire, not a target shoot though this was a salute. Thats when i knew.

  7. The queen symbolized the age of feminism, which has brought absolute chaos and incompetence to our world. This new king seems to be a piece of work, too. Hopefully in a couple of generations the royal family will drop this woke fad and return as the symbol of traditional values and unity that are needed now.
