  1. As an lgs owner, I can appreciate Mr. Taco's relationship with cardboard. The moment you make your passion a business, the less 'fun' you have with it. I'm surrounded by games all day and play very little of anything anymore. I've stopped playing Magic, play maybe 3-4 tabletop games a month.

The passion is certainly still there, but it's in a business context now.

  2. over here it is roughly $0.50 – $1 a month per booster box for storage and partial insurance. But if you stack boxes as high as Rudy you can do it cheaper but I dont are to stack boxes that high it will crush the bottom ones, however you could use reinforced boards that carry the stacking weight.

  3. Your country just had $130 billion in one week stripped out of your banking sector. Your country is a dumpster fire. Good luck to you all that still have money in bank accounts that won’t be there for much longer. 😂

  4. You’re supposed to throw your collection (that nobody wants to buy) in an abandoned bathroom for 5 years and it’ll randomly 10 X. It’s a proven formula on this channel, come on!

  5. Yeah, that's why I don't collect sealed product anymore. It's too much to store it. The non-bulk cards in my raw cards collection alone fills my entire safe, so there's no room for anything else. And my bulk fills an entire closet – I can't store sealed product without significant cost for storage, so I just can't do it right now.

  6. I'm glad you're so well spoken. It made my AI's task of transcribing your video very effortless.
Many great points made, hopefully your letter writer will heed your advice!

  8. Personally I put 10% of my income into my brokerage account, 10% in my savings account and 10% into my pokemon "investment" account which I use to buy high end PSA 10/black labels to hold long term. I also buy sealed product but imo this dude should do something similar. But into low pop high end cards that's much easier to store when traveling

  9. I'm a disabled veteran so I am fortunate to be able to play CCGs and also make money off them. It is very hard not opening. I've got over 8k in Pokemon and MTG sealed product. I've been selling singles from my poke collection heavily for a few months now and a little from my mtg ( I actually play MTG so all the cards are still children's game pieces Lol) and I find it enjoyable to buy lots and break them up all the while grabbing a few here and there for my collection. I'm starting to move some of the sealed product because like you said the funds I make selling that, I'll be able to roll back into my business to make exponentially more money than if I waited 5 more years for the sealed to mature. I've not lost money but on average I've gained 4-5x the sealed value over the 5 years. Great advice man.

  10. I’d just try to get ABU power 9 don’t need many of those to have a lot and don’t need a whole storage locker. Just a really good hidden safe or safety deposit box

  11. I've actually been dealing with a friend who wants me to invest in MTG like, really badly and I have zero interest in doing so. He keeps assuring me it's a great investment
    – and no shame to anyone who is in the game, but I genuinely feel like it's not a space I'm comfortable in – I think I'm going to forward him this video to get him to stop asking me to buy into cardboard.

  12. Hey Rudy, what's your comment on the recent Pokemon cards stolen from the plant story circulating on TikTok? Supposedly, someone was trying to sell about a million worth of select cards from the last two sets that were stolen from the factory and not put into circulation. Will this hurt the value of the sealed product? Is the story even true, or is it just nonsense put out to hurt the value of stored sealed product?
