Dealing with Depression | The Prophet Elijah

It may come as a surprise to some . . . it may be welcome confirmation for others . . . but believers can get depressed. Yes, there are numerous Scriptures about joy and contentment, but we’re humans living in mortal bodies, in challenging times. Well today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie focuses on a depressing time in the life of the great prophet Elijah, and highlights a number of practical principles to help us in our times of challenge. 1. Question: Where is suicide mentioned as a sin. Some have said it is a sin but no one knows the verses where it says this. Thank you. Read Romans 1. Tells us that when we are ungrateful and do not worship God he creates the problems Greg is talking about. So God is creating these people. In other words, he is "letting us have our own will" and helping us to have it. So change your will.
