  1. Boy, who could've seen this coming. Jacking the msrp up by 20/30 percent, making more high trim models and then the dealers adding on mark ups. And the fact the majority of trucks are just family haulers. People are realizing $140 fill ups just aren't worth it. Add into higher intrest rates and the economy woes and the manufacturers and dealers should be getting a nice big dose of reality by the end of the yr. They catered to a higher level income, but the fact is those people just can't carry a full line of sales. Me personally, I make a good living and there's no way I'm paying 60k for a mid trim truck.

  2. Hyundai/Kia is killing right now, their market share has 🚀. They're doing what Toyota did back in the early days, selling affordable, reliable and fuel efficient vehicles to take on Detroit. Although the "reliable" part of that statement can be argued.

  3. There’s nothing interesting about it at all. These idiots stay in power you’re not even going to find fuel for these vehicles. Why am I going to spend that type of money for a lawn ornament,

  4. Dealers and manufacturers can stick their vehicles where the sun doesn't shine. Their still dishonest and greedy! We don't need the middle men. Manufacturers can sell directly to the public, like Tesla. We need to see dealers go bankrupt! Dealers charging $10k, $20k above list is robbery. Dealers are going to get what they deserve.

  5. It is an outrage what dealers are charging these days on a new full-size pickup truck. What do they expect to get from a hard-working blue collar? I'll be the day in hell if I spent over $100,000 on new pickup, + seals Tex + license plate Plus the insurance's + dealers fees, just for us to use it for work. I'll say to the manufacturer and the dealers thanks but no thanks.

  6. In 1982, l bought my first new pickup – an 82 Chevy C10, 6 cyl, 3 on the tree, no power steering or radio. I think it was maybe $7000. (~22,000 today). The modern equivalent of that, is what l think a lot of pickup buyers who actually use their trucks for truck stuff want – at a reasonable price. Not a Cadillac with a stupidly short and useless bed.

  7. Consider a simple FWD sedan. They are cheap on gas even with an optional V6 on older models with 6 speed automatics compared to pickup trucks. You can have a lot of fun driving a 2017 V6 Accord.

  8. How about an episode on mid-size pickup availability, price and forecast availability? I'm in the market for an inexpensive base model and there doesn't seem to be many on the lots in upstate NY. Thanks.

  9. This is because those are NOT "pickup trucks".
They are selling sedans with open trunks. They are all 4-door "crew cab" with a short (4') bed, that rarely actually carry anything in the bed.
I've been looking. You have to special order from the Fleet sales for a regular, 2-door cab with an 8' bed.
