  10. Im here in Bangladesh and traffic is so bad,really bad,,so many rickshaw and Tuktuk causing the traffic jamπŸ˜€good thing they have open the Dhaka metro rail to ease the traffic,,salute.

The only place that you have shown in this video that I wouldn't drive is Bangladesh, not because of its road conditions, which are good, but because of the ill-discipline of its drivers – how do they get to be licensed? That to my mind is simply a matter of the state becoming more involved in managing the situation through effective laws and visible policing. Anyway, a really interesting video and Pakistan remains a rugged, but very beautiful country that I would love to visit one day… πŸ™‚

A lot of these Death Road's danger levels are the result of government failure to create and enforce sensible traffic laws over time and as a result of this government neglect the conditions on many roads have become culturally imbedded. Because of this people are so use to many of these lax traffic and deadly conditions that any attempt to make rapid reforms would result in a public rebellion against it. The only way to effect real change would be a concerted public information campaign over many years to cast negative light on the driving behavior, road conditions, deaths, and to vilify the people who endanger the lives of innocent people with their negligent and dangerous driving. Such a campaign would take the better part of a generation in many of these places to allow for real driving reforms to take full effect.

  21. 75 euros a month in Bangladesh is not considered middle class. And I’m sure long haul bus drivers make more than 75 a month.. but everything else in very accurate.. when I first moved to the states I was amazed by the fact how people keep on their lane here. Tbh I didn’t even know we had lanes in Bangladesh. I had to Google some pictures of Bangladeshi roads to confirm. I think if all the drivers been properly trained before handing out the licence it would be a lot better. But again whole DMV is corrupted. If you bribe the brokers you can get your drivers licence very fast and easy but if you wanna do it proper way, it is a hassle and takes way more time than it should be.. I hope the issue will be solved soon.. πŸ™‚

  30. Give me a bulldozer, a theodolite, and an excavator, and we will build a road. "We?" Yes. The professional and bush engineers, the cat and excavator operators, (1, 2, 3,) a-n-d … the other 1/4 of the team; The Powder Monkeys. To them, there is no problem that cannot be solved with proper placement of high explosives. And as R.G.Letourneau said, bigger machines. There is no job too big … your machines are just too small. Or you need some more powder. And … Time. The water holes? Excavate the downhill sides and let 'em drain. Ropes, chains, anchors and winches. And of course, some large caliber persuasion for the local robbers.

  34. These vehicles look to be completely stock, and they get the job done, while over in the "states" our rigs are loaded to the max every off-road piece of equipment ever made and can't get through a simple rain/snowstorm. Amazing!

  35. I blame the governments of those countries, because if they put birth rate limits this types of traffic jams and accidents will reduce. such as 2 children per family especially in big or crowded cities.
