  1. Now how dare they sign that peace deal .. Gee guess they will need to get pissed at you for someting …. Is there a espoonage mechanic in the Mod that blows up their ships (say subs) and they blame you for it?

Also The problem with countries collapsing is that you get nothing of it. You're at war with the said country, you've blockaded them to oblivion. You've stacked up zillions of vp and they suddenly collapse. What you get in return? Nothing. You lose whatever you've achieved.

  3. I feel like with transports, it should a gradual GDP loss, as you lose acces to outside imports, youll still have some local production and stockpile that should last a few months atleast, and then you start feeling it.

  4. I don;t know it any mod could fix one problem but having played as the US I find the eastern pacific region ocean is pretty much completely dead and not worth build ships on the US west coast once he Panama canal is open. South America is also mostly dead as the player can never do anything but wait for the AI to decide on an event where you can invade or stand by and let an enemy take a neutral and then take it off them.

  5. sad to see more three inch casemates, i was really liking the deviation from your typical style that you had at the start of the campaign with the 7in secondaries. I really hope you consider adding them to more ships instead of falling back into the same old same old 3in secondaries.

  9. Battle of Okhotsk

Yomiuri shinbun, Tokyo, 28 July 1920

A destroyer division of the Dai-Nippon Teikoku Kaigun led by the Harukaze class destroyer Asashimo and her sister ship Hatsuzuki along with two Asanagi class destroyers, the Hasu and Tachikaze, found the 10” armed Dmitrii Donskoi class armored cruiser Kronshlot, the Svetlana class 9.3” armed Boyarin, and the 5.1” armed Leytenant Zatsarenni class 1918 refitted destroyer Zavetnyi, operating the middle of the Sea of Okhotsk. Charged with the mission of wiping all enemy ships off the surface of the seas, the division broke up into individual ships and attempted to close to torpedo whichever ships they could.

The sighted the armored cruiser Kronshlot first, and tried to maneuver against her. The Boyarin appeared to her starboard and the Zavetnyi to her port, making a run on the Kronshlot difficult. The Boyarin got the first hit on the Hatsuzuki. Hasu launched on Boyarin but the protected cruiser easily avoided the torpedoes. All other destroyers were told to hold their launches for the Kronshlot. Tachikaze put one torpedo into the aft section of Kronshlot.

Kronshlot however was targeting the next ship coming up with her torpedoes ready. With her 6.2” guns the Soviet armored cruiser put two shells through the Hatsuzuki’s main belt. Her 3” magazine destroyed, Hatsuzuki tried to launch her torpedoes, but wasn’t able to get them off. She sank with 168 of her 176 man crew.

Hasu then took a 5.2” hit from Boyarin that when through her aft belt. All ships were ordered to retreat. With her two escorts Kronshlot was too well supported to take out, though Zavetnyi was not involved in the actual fighting.

The Hasu suffered 12 casualties and the Tachikaze 2. The Kronshlot was reported to have taken 30 casualties and the Boyarin six. 8 survivors of the Hatsuzuki were picked up by the Soviet Navy.

Yomiuri shinbun, Tokyo, 12 July 1920

The Dai-san Kantai closed on Vladivostok and took the immediate opportunity to strike at the port facilities and the transports anchored there. The Norikura and her sister Shiomi, the Arakawa-Naka and her sister Kita, and the Harukaze class destroyer Shinonome sank three transports at anchor and damaged an estimated 18.5 thousand tons of ship support capacity in the port, weakening the Khabarovsk Soviet Republic prior to the invasion to befall it.

Another three Soviet transports were sunk in the Sea of Japan and two more in the Sea of Okhotsk.

The Landings have begun against Magadan, with the Naval Infantry taking 1276 casualties while inflicting 1831 on the Red Army.

  12. North Sakhalin Falls

Yomiuri shinbun, Tokyo, 25 June 1920

The northern half of the Island of Sakhalin has surrendered. The Dai-ni Kantai (2nd or Reserve Fleet) and Dai-san Kantai (3rd or Battlecruiser Fleet) have covered the landings by the Naval Infantry while the Imperial Japanese Army worked their way up the Island. Army losses were high, over 70 thousand casualties to only 18 thousand for the Red Army. The Dai-ichi Kantai (1st or Main Fleet) eventually joined the operation in time to see the Island fall. They and the Dai-ni Kantai will move north to begin operations against the Magadan while the Dai-san Kantai moves to blockade Vladivostok.

  14. When you mentioned rhe lighr cruiser ship gun and armor issues, ir mad me think. When you go through the hulls can you set a minimum armor thickness per hull, not just per ship type as you mentioned? If so, maybe assign 40% or some reasonable percentage of what you consider well armored to ensure at least moderately armed ai ships? Seems that would give one less stupid choice to be made by the ai, sending ships out without a modicum of armor. I have no clue how you could manage it. But im loving seeing rhe minorly more level battles. more exciting knowing you could lose a ship.

  15. 34:44: No it was refitted in 1920. Probably under your new constraints. It went from having two single 9.3" guns and four single 5.2" guns to having seven single 5.2" guns, along with keeping its six single 4.3" guns and four underwater torpedo tubes.

  16. Unwanted Peace Treaty

Yomiuri shinbun, Tokyo, 11 July 1921

The government of the Empire of Japan was forced to the negotiating table by the President of the United States of America to talk terms with the Soviet Union. Japan’s war aims had not yet been achieved, and their invasion fleet was still on the way to invest the port of Provideniya opposite the American Territory of Alaska, which is doubtlessly the reason the Americans intervened.

The Soviet government was forced to the negotiating table by their own head of the Navy, Admiral Mikhail Nemits. The Soviet offer was a war indemnity of $465,010,400 in American Dollars.

The hypocrisy of the Americans was revealed to the whole world when, while they were forcing to nations to make peace, they declared war on the République Française. The government in Tokyo is of course totally supportive of the French, as are the Italians and British. The war mongering Americans have the support of the Soviet Union and the Deutsches Kaiserreich.

Elements of the former government of Spain are trying to rally the people of northern Spain to organize and take control of the countries from the Banditos who now control it.

Yomiuri shinbun, Tokyo, 10 April 1921

The Reino de España has collapsed into anarchy. The Royal Family has been sent into exile South America, the Consejo de Ministros has dissolved, and the Cortes Generales has been stormed and most of the members killed. They had been pressed by wars with the United States of America, the République Française, and the Regno d'Italia.

The government in Tokyo is reconsidering the wisdom of rejecting a donation of funds to keep this European monarchy afloat.

  21. Battle of Nakhodka

Yomiuri shinbun, Tokyo, 3 March 1921

In the Sea of Japan off the coast of Soviet occupied Far Eastern Krai the Harukaze class destroyers Sumire, Suzutsuki, Akizuki, and Asashimo, and the Asanagi class destroyers Hasu and Nara found the refitted Svetlana class light cruiser Kagul and the Bespokoiny class destroyer Rybets.

Akizuki took the lead with Asashimo, Nara, Suzutsuki, Sumire, and Hasu following, neatly mixing the classes in the battle line. The day was clear and the weather fine when they spotted funnel smoke to the north. They immediately turned to investigate. Akizuki sighted an enemy ship and opened fire. The Kagul got the first hit, but it was minor. Akizuki turned to set up her torpedo launch and began to take 5.2” and 4.3” hits. She immediately launched her two torpedoes. Akizuki turned to withdraw as did Asashimo, also damaged. Both of Akizuki torpedoes hit, one forward and one amidships. Asashimo couldn’t get her torpedoes off, and Nara brushed into her trying to get into position. Suzutsuki launched her torpedoes but the one hit was a dub. Then Nara got clear and launched her two on Kagul, getting one live hit. Kagul was not fully flooded in five compartments amidships, with the bow two flooding out, and all three engines disabled. The damage from Nara was massive, and Kagul sank with ### of her 581 man complement of officers and sailors.

Sumire led Hasu and Suzutsuki after the Rybets, which they quickly closed on. Though a larger vessel with bigger guns, the Rybets quickly lost her gun and torpedo magazines. With her funnel destroyed and flooding in her bow, Rybets was not able to pull away from the battle. With three engines disabled she was a sitting target as Hasu came up but sunk before Hasu was in position to launch. Rybets went down with all 189 men of her crew.

Asashimo took 22 casualties and failed to get a hit in the battle. Akizuki took 10 casualties and was credited with the sinking of the Kagul, Nara taking the assist. Nara had 9 casualties. Though Sumire and Suzutsuki took damage they suffered no personnel casualties. Sumire was given credit for the sinking of the Rybets with Hasu getting an assist.
