About The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power:
Prime Video’s The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power brings to screens for the very first time the heroic legends of the fabled Second Age of Middle-earth’s history. This epic drama is set thousands of years before the events of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, and will take viewers back to an era in which great powers were forged, kingdoms rose to glory and fell to ruin, unlikely heroes were tested, hope hung by the finest of threads, and the greatest villain that ever flowed from Tolkien’s pen threatened to cover all the world in darkness. Beginning in a time of relative peace, the series follows an ensemble cast of characters, both familiar and new, as they confront the long-feared re-emergence of evil to Middle-earth. From the darkest depths of the Misty Mountains, to the majestic forests of the elf-capital of Lindon, to the breathtaking island kingdom of Númenor, to the furthest reaches of the map, these kingdoms and characters will carve out legacies that live on long after they are gone.

As an artist/character designer the costumes are garbage and you should be ashamed of yourselves.
This is what a billion dollar bomb looks like….
She is acting here better than in first two episodes.
Awful writing, and an unbearable cast. What a waste of money
“You’re all bigots!”
“No, we just want well written stories about characters we love, not corporate shills trying to cash in on the things we love”
“YOU. ARE. ALL. BIGOTS”
“Literally no”
Still looks bad, with horrendous writing. Even for a CW show its bad.
Terrible crap show… I hope amazon fails miserably for what they did to the lore..
I love the show! Beautiful visuals, great acting, and I love seeing Elrond & Galadriel’s journey to become the characters they are in LOTR. Hopefully Amazon gets rights to the Silmarillion, because they are doing a phenomenal job with Rings of Power. I would love to see them do a show about the Sons of Feanor.
The show is so inaccurate that it don’t up with the book at all and it makes the characters so different that you can’t recognize them.
👎👎👎👎👎Very disappointed with the voice audio level. Could not understand everything she was saying. Very quite and monotone/lack of annunciation. Sounds like she’s talking through her nose. She needs a new voice coach and sound engineering needs to get replaced. Just to hard to watch. My wife and I were so hoping for better.👎👎👎👎👎
Its like all this franchises are doing this on purpose to be talk about
4:06 Politician?… What?
Seriously, guys, it was ultimately NOT about the Americans' complicated view of "diversity" or lack thereof (for example, lots of people outside the USA dislike the new show also), people on both sides are using this as some kind of weird deflection from the MAIN POINT — the entire prequel seems like a failed fan fiction effort, not something in the highly complex and immersive universe of Tolkien and Jackson, quite honestly. Those two gave us a timeless and glorious masterpiece, but this new failure of a show has tainted and ruined the entire franchise…
Elrond and Galadriel's actors were at best average, and that is being VERY generous to both of them, and failed to seem very likable or engaging from the beginning to the end. The elves seemed so plastic, superficial and one-dimensional, lacking in both genuine gravitas and otherworldly mysticism and poise, and I was not impressed by Galadriel's failed Arctic mission or that weird half-naked giant crash-landing in front of two bickering female Hobbits. Is this what was supposed to grip millions of people from around the world? Besides, if nine elves were nearly killed by a single troll, what the heck was Galadriel planning to do to Sauron even if she did "find" him? And how did that Elven king grant them access to Valinor at whim, I thought only the Valar had that authority?? **Almost NOTHING about this show was okay, guys.** o_O
Trash.
"It began with the forging of the great films. Threads were given by Tolkien, immortal, wisest and fairest of all beings. Rights were granted to Jackson, great miner and craftsman of the mountain of lore. And nine, nine hours were gifted to the race of Men who, above all else, desire quality. But they were all of them deceived, for another show was made. In the land of Amazon, in the fires of Mount Prime, the Dark Lord Bezos forged in secret a master flop. And into this show he poured his money, his greed and his will to dominate all film. One show to ruin them all."
They made Galadriel the most unlikable character in television history (in 2 episodes lol)
Well I watch the first two episodes and that was all I needed to watch to know that this was not for me
Can't Waite for season 2 Galadriel aquawomen vs the sea monkeys of Mordor
These showrunners should be fired. All the beautiful visuals can't hide the terrible dialogue and writing. It's CW show level writing.
Watched Episode 3 and looking forward to Episode 4. This show is so much better than so many other shows out right now—I am enjoying it. Just hopped on here to hopefully get some clarification on the timeline. Also, trying to sort out how they know Sauron is Evil but yet he is able to deceive them later into taking the Rings—maybe I will just have to wait and see (there might have been some lore I somehow missed about that, but new interpretations can be enjoyable too!)
So far it’s been garbage with nice visuals.
Something something Racism…
I really enjoyed the new episode of House of the Dragon, its just awesome and intriguing. Though I am a big Tolkien fan i can´t just watch the rings of power longer than a few minutes, its just so cringeworthy.
