Yup I knew the peeling the flesh part would remove the concept of easy game play that's not how it's supposed to be on easy it shouldn't take 3 plasma cutter shots to take off 1 limb

Make us whole again, GLP 👾 I assumed the Dead Space games were just zombies in space, so I was going to skip them (not a zombie fan). But another channel I watch (Certifiably Ingame) did a video on the Ishimura (no spoilers) and wow that ship is HUUUUUUGE. iirc something like 3000 people (family and crew) onboard, plus loads of diff departments. So I was curious and when I saw your remake game movie, gave it a watch. It was really cool! The story was cool and I didn't know how it was going to turn out. Glad I watched. (Not sure if I should watch DS 2 and 3 or wait for the remakes now, as people have said this one had some differences from the original).
There was another of your videos I watched recently, that did have zombies but they weren't really the main plot, and that story was also very cool. Can't recall the game now, main character was a "pilgrim" (i think the role was) looking for his sister, post worldwide pandemic or something. 🐧
Now THIS is how you make a Remake. Faithful to the original. Hopefully they can make Remake for Dead Space 2 and then make a whole new Dead Space 3.

I do miss Hammonds original voice actor tho but I do like that the interactions between the characters seem more fluid and less kinda instant prick to one another

Incredible remaster, filled with delightful easter eggs and bolstered by stunning animation, sound effects, and character design and interaction. A little letdown, though, by the final boss fight; its urgency and rush pale compared to the original Dead Space. But we can't have it all. The team did incredible. 9/10 for me.
