  1. I got no idea what gman smoking, this game was really fun to play. Mindless and fun to beat the shit out of zombies with a genuine advancement to flesh and dismemberment mechanics. Zombies are the actual focus of the game unlike every zombie game released since the last of us which just made them more of a backdrop of the setting to tell you humans are the real monsters. Im sure that decision to focus on only zombies instead of adding human enemies was due to time contraints since theres also no drivable vehicles either or the world being split up into zones, which i think was actually well done. My only critique are the guns which dont feel that good, dunno if cod's spoiled me. I also wish melee attacks somehow could be directional so you can be more precise and slice at certain angles or cave a zombies head in from above.

  2. They basically did to this game what they did to the Rage games, Rage 2 is nothing like Rage 1; dead island 2 is nothing like dead island 1.
they just want you to feel like some generic super bad ass that can mow through enemies like butter while alienating the people who loved the originals

  4. Wow. I had no idea this game was even remotely close to being out, let alone having launched two weeks ago. I don't know how they managed to stealth launch it like this.

  5. think i will wait for the free version to be released. the amount they're asking for this game, it wouldn't be fair of me to pay because the game could never live up to that kind of investment.

  6. Okay. I need help understanding other gamers because I found myself loving the chatting back and forth in the game Atomic Heart and found myself WISHING the characters in dead Island talked more. What's with people constantly complaining about the one thing that actually brings a character to life?!

I'm sorry maybe I'm just the outlier but…. I find myself eating up every moment a character in any game talks… So why does everyone hate it so much? 😢

I'm really sick of hearing "blah blah talks too much giving me a headache" or "bring back silent protagonist" …. It hurts my soul…. I'd never want to play a game where the main character has literally NO CHARACTER to speak of…

  7. Let's remember that Dying Light 1 was originally going to be Dead Island 2 until deep silver rejected tech lands request for the budget and the change of focus to a single protagonist and parkour as the main way to move around according to rumors from back then and a few comments by Techland. So, Dead Island 2 technically had four different development teams. The weirdest omissions by the new dead island are it not having specialization by character, no vehicles (given it was one of contentions on deep silver to techland), no well developed skill tree and difficulty curve which is a staple in the first two games. And of course, the fact it no longer happens on an Island. Making the title to now be "figurative". This said. Gman seems to have forgotten that screamers and acid spitters were already in riptide along side the claws and knuckes. All this said, at least Dead Island is a well optimized and good looking game with an improved gore system. Which by the way is the only thing I missed in Dying Light 1.

  8. It feels like a game that makes you ask, once again, "Who was this game for?" It sits next to Red Fall, and Saints Row 2022. Even Watch Dogs 2 have that vibe, though I actually did like most of the cast in that game.
The original demographic for this game kind of moved on to Dying Light for the most part, which is honestly the spiritual successor to this franchise. Everyone basically forgot that this game exists, or at the least, didn't even expect it to be released. They wanted to appeal to the very demographic that they're taunting and making fun of, which makes everything feel disingenuous. Like yay I can be a dyed haired, nose ring piercing "punk" girl, and she's about as annoying as those dumb memes making fun of that stereotype makes her out to be. It'd be more interesting if visually she, and the other characters besides Ryan and Bruno, were flashy, but then were forced to be more grounded since millions of people are suddenly dead or dying and trying to eat them.

  9. If it did not release Epic exclusive I would have bought it nonetheless.
I liked the predecessors because they were mindless zombie killing fun with a roughly serious theme and mood. Like it's over the top, but not goofy.

  10. I just get sick of the one girl saying feck or feckin’ all the time. She’s really obnoxious. Sadly I guess all the main characters are pretentious assholes. Makes it hard to give a crap about any of them.

  11. With your newer videos I wonder if you actually like playing games anymore, or if you've gotten stuck in a funk where you have to nitpick everything because that's become a new habit/the bread and butter for your youtube engagement. Sometimes a game can just be brainless dumb fun (no pun intended) that doesn't need a full video essay to explain why it's not serious high art. Just drink a beer or two, laugh/cringe with it, and make a video about a game you actually like.

  12. A great 2016 game that was released in 2023. It is fucking dogshit and no, you're not gonna tell me it has redeemable qualities because it doesn't. It was released way too late.
