  1. Nice, just as I was looking for something to watch, Day9 uploaded!
Also regarding the ongoing discussion of pacing/"interesting things" that you find in the base game vs the DLC as you explore, I'm basically in the middle. In the base game, at some point the number of catacombs were a bit too much, especially since so many of them are quite similar. But like Sean, I also feel that while the DLC has a huge map, sometimes you're travellig for a long time before you get to anything interesting, and in the Abyss area especially you start to feel like there isn't much point to exploring. Which is a shame and something that was never an issue in the base game for me.

I really look forward to what From does with their next game, because if they combine the fantastic verticality in the DLC with a better balance of dungeons/catacombs from the base game, it's going to be incredible in terms of exploration. (I felt the open world and wide range of weapons/play styles made ER so accessible compared to the other Souls games, and would love to see that continue.)

For the talismans since he's finally getting rid of the soreseal, I'm really hoping that he takes a look at the Pearl Shield Talisman, which IMO works great with his build since he could use a boost with magic defence. (I'm also wondering if he'll ever go back to speak with Thollier since he just skipped him at the grace for some reason haha.)

  2. 2:05:10 this random comment is much more important than people might think. The Kingdom of loathing, west of loathing and shadows over loathing is a series that is unbelievably, witty and hilarious.

From my experience, I suggest you play west of loathing which is a turn-based RPG with a ludicrous amount of secrets and just insane levels of wit. The game is quite easy. If I saw that you were playing it, I would sign up for it in a heartbeat.
