  1. There are remote controlled wet brush systems they use for cleaning roof tiles etc. Im sure it would work for solar panels. Would take a bit of setting up as you need long , very long hoses connected to a barrel of cleaning detergent. Would be a lot less than 7grand and you could do other customers roofs to et your money back.

  2. 50%, tested covid positive yesterday – just a bad summer cold, hopefully!
How about attaching something like "Scotch-Brite Roloc+ Clean & Finish Flap Brush discs" into the wheels πŸ€”
As the wheels turned, the discs would spin, like a gladiator chariot, and displace the dust either side of the vehicle footprint, ready to be collected by your undercarriage mop – βπŸ‘

  3. Three oaks farm models do some really good stuff . Still think a window cleaners brush would work . Maybe a yard brush attached to the back of the tractor might work . With the weather my blood sugars are having a party so I’m tired too , plus been fishing on the boat so not the best place to be when it’s hot .

  4. Personally I think you only bought the little tractor so you could get up on the roof away from everyone and play with your new toy πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
I live in London and window cleaners use brushes on really long poles to clean windows on flats as high as 5 or six floors I have seen but of course you have to have enough water pressure to start with
Great video as usuel I try to never them as you are not only very knowledgeable but very entertaining as well
    Real Country File is amazing
    Keep up the good work
    Thank you

  5. Why not put a ramp on the edge of the roof up to the panels so you would be able to drive it up and down on smother terrain. Also why not make a plate to put over the battery rather than the seat.

    Really enjoy your videos.

  6. Olly how about just getting someone with a long-reach window cleaning system with that system you could probably work from the valley? who cleans your windows from the ground level at your rental house

  7. Can’t you get one of the longest polls we use a 25 ,30 foot one to screen the concrete off and they are basically a rubber blade I know you can get extension for them but you can walk along the gutter and pull down with it

  8. idea for solar panel cleaning – length of mental H beam at each end of the solar panel array that covers the height of the panel plus a metre or so below to keep it out of the way when not in use. Have a beam trolley at each end with a mechanism to adjust the vertical position to do a drag along the length, and a second mechanism to do the drag in a straight line along the length and back.

I'm not a engineer, I'm thinking a tensioned line between each end maybe needed but I think the length of the roof maybe too long to get the tension that maybe needed to avoid a line sagging on the solar array.

  9. As far as I know, most if not all, solar panels have a self cleaning coating on them, so I would go easy on them when cleaning otherwise you can damage them and make it significantly worse if not damage the panels. Pressure wash (but not too close) is more than enough or just wait for the rain.
