A great early game way of dealing with predators is to build a platform on a big rock, they can't get up to you and it's easy to take them out with a bow.
You have to unlock the half-wall on your tech list
Unsure if it's confirmed, but I think I noticed that adding beams besides walls helps reinforce structures.

Health and happiness yea. Lots of medications are not the answer their is herbal and spices that do just as well.

@gameedged you might want to tune the video settings a bit. When I started playing this I had the same blur around the environment (grass and such..) and played a bit with the settings and now is completely different. Not sure what I changed but it looked like your view first, but after it was much better. If given the option between DirectX 11 & 12, you might want to try the other one too.
to upgrade wall/floor use upgrade hammer and right click not left repair
When you have the hammer in your hand, the bottom right of the screen says "Select upgrade type", with a nice drawing of a button with an R on it… As always, the answer is before your eyes…

You can use your hammer to upgrade walls and stuff just press R pick the material you want to upgrade to and right click on the wall or floor.
GE has a repair hammer, but wasn't there a separate upgrade hammer that needs to be unlocked?
this game is better played with friends.
you have to craft a wood wall before hand and having it in your inventory, then you are able to upgrade a lower wall version. 🙂
Absolutely love this game! Played for hundreds of hours but now it tanks my pc even on low settings and I can’t figure out why! Every other game, can run on ultra but this one just stopped 😞

You can mine the rock nodes and create stacks as walls while grinding up your levels… Also means you sorted when you finally unlock stone buildings 👷♂️ 👍 😀

Dude you need to chill out and calm down I've been watching you for a long time and you always sabotage yourself calm down and pay attention to the gui it's there for a reason like when you were trying to replace the doorway the hammer says to right click to upgrade other than that I do really love your videos
