Day of Spite and Petty Malice

My lyrics, based on the chant sequence “Dies Irae” from the traditional Requiem Mass. Its writing was “inspired” by the July 16 anniversary of Traditionis Custodes restricting the Traditional Latin Mass (http://www.vatican.va/content/francesco/en/motu_proprio/documents/20210716-motu-proprio-traditionis-custodes.html), now belatedly recorded.

  1. Despite being late for the 1 year anniversary of Traditionis Destructione, it's timely for those in New Jersey. The Diocese of Metuchen, whose first bishop was Ol' Ted himself, just shut it down in one of the parishes there.
