The hydroponic cropplots will cool you down, like the canteen
The plain crop plants are perfectly fine you don't need the expensive one. I have never had a problem with the cheap ones and I love farming on this game.
if your plants grow too fast you can use special fertilizer to make them grow slow and yield more crops. That fertilizer is in Tier 4
If you hook water up to your mixer it crafts faster.
Connecting water to the concrete mixer makes things way faster.
Just switch to concrete beams.
the power for the hydroponic is to supply the water like a sprinkler to the crops
also try using half pitches to make different roofs!

What GPU and CPU are you running? I'm running an RTX3060 and i7-11700f and I run at least 60FPS in this game with all settings on high.
You need your water running with the cement mixer to dramatically increase production speed. I mean increase the speed a lot … not just a little.
the game has not been optimized so the longer you play the more lag you will have. they are working on it
I bet you cleaned the surroundings of your base.. Lag forever ^^ there is a mod resetting the terrain (and the loot) dolving this issur, as i've been told 😉❤🖖👍
Yea, when I switched to a dedicated server I had some beacons disappear too.

Did you try adjusting your FOV (Field of View)? Take note of stock setting, adjust it up, play the game, then put it back. See if that helps with FPS
i Just watched your 1st episode of ICARUS and you were saying you would like to play 3rd person. Look in your Keyboard settings because you can. If i remember correctly mine is set to "C"/ try it, you may like it
Wood and Iron Crop Plots get bonuses from being in a glass house up to 50% grow speed. If you add water into to the glass working bench it makes storm proof glass.
The hydroponic crop plots with power input just give the same 50% buff that a glass house does without any glass needing to be nearby. Cheaper to just make the iron crop plots and build a glass house than worry about the hydroponic crop plot unless you build your farm inside a stone/cement house and want the max buffs.
Run water to your cement mixer to speed it up
What is the sponge used for in this game can you please let me know is there a purpose for it at all except blocking your water will and making power

Hook you concrete mixer up to water with pumps and pipes and it will work faster
If you awant to add some mods to your game try icarus mod manager. he just updated to version 1.5 . YT won't let me add the link but do a search.
You can hook up water to the bench that you build your walls would too and it goes faster
2:59 On that topic. They need to give us a freezer. Let us store some of the good food long term. Maybe 10x what the fridge does would be cool. The technology is already in the game.
10:30 that's been happening to me also (once in a while) after going to dedicated server. I think the dedi is late in processing the material breakdowns sometimes, or relaying that info to the connected player. I'll hit Y and then 5-8 seconds later it will finally disappear. There are some quirks, but overall better.
I just start playing Icarus today and reach lv 10 for tier 2 stuff, thanks for kage videos my gameplay when smoothly, I have to wait for lv 5 to spend point on wood building not thatch building and learn lot more from your videos thank you so much.
Edit:I'm playing on low spec so my game quality will be a little bit choppy and wash out abit because at the menu says my gpu is out dated😅
pick up and deconstruct and recraft the crop plots and then it might stop withering?
On my server we moved our hydroponic plots into a full green house and the growth speed is totally worth the price. Things appear expensive to you because I have yet to see you really adventure outside your own biome to farm. Some of the desert caves have sooo much it would take 2 people three trips to strip them.
I was one of the people telling you to move your prospect to a dedicated server so I am glad to see you making the move. Unfortunately I feel like my FPS has dropped by 30-40% with this week's update (that was meant to improve fps) 🙁

I think if you are going to keep doing concrete you should add water 💧 to your mixer. I will go so much faster.

Concrete mixer is realy slow witout conection to water
I think full concrete will solve your problems and look sick, current mix-match is less stable and looks pretty goofy

loving the vids, specially the streams they're hilarious. I'm on the exotic grind myself getting about 600 per mission just wish my prospects would run smoothly on my high end rig.
Love the series but I watch a nother YouTuber and he just swops floor and walls with out moving and stuff dropping but don't no how he does it
I know crops wither irl without water. I'm not sure if they need it in game, but hooking up water may help I'm assuming.
