ABOUT Stranded Deep

Take the role of a plane crash survivor stranded somewhere in the Pacific Ocean. Experience terrifying encounters both above and below an endless environment. Come face to face with some of the most life threatening scenarios that will result in a different experience each time you play.

Generate an Infinite Number of Procedural Worlds – Explore Pacific islands, reefs, and bottomless ocean trenches filled with detailed biomes!

No two worlds are the same – You can generate a completely new and randomized world at any time. You can also mix your own maps created with the map editor in with the procedurally created maps in the world for a more customized experience. If you feel like sharing, you can even share your world seed with other players.

* Please note, currently the generated world size is limited to 6.25km2 but the final world size will be much larger.
Dynamic Weather and Day-Night Cycle – Struggle to navigate stormy seas or enjoy basking with a coconut on a sunny afternoon.
Unique Physically-based Crafting System – Harvest resources to create equipment by combining them together in the physical world – no crafting slots!
Unique Physically-based Building System – Settle on an island and construct a shelter or venture the seas with your own built raft.
Detailed Survival Aspects and Interaction – Manage your vitals of hunger, thirst, blood, and health against the harshness of mother nature.
Random Loot and Collectables – Search sunken shipwrecks and islands for interesting and rare equipment.
Hunting and fishing – Spear small animals in the shallows or risk the depths with a spear gun in search of larger meals. Starve an island of resources or maintain and manage its growth.

  2. A little tip for getting more fibrous material. You should try setting up some farm plots! You can use the yucca fruits to grow into yucca plants rather than having to wait for them to naturally grow back

  3. ⚠️ WARNING ⚠️ Relatively long comment ahed!!!

Ive been watching your videos since I was like 9 or 10 and now I'm 14! I absolutely love your videos and love your sense of humor! I can't believe I'm….relatively early and i love your stranded deep vids! The first series I watched was your survive and thrive series, and I've watched that millions of times! Keep up the good work my good man and have a nice day/night!

  4. I used to watch you when I was a kid and back in the escapist-stranded deep connection you did between those play through, you would always say “better call Saul” when I was nine that flew right over my head. Years later I started watching breaking bad and was amazed. Hope we get another punchwood the prison escapist play through of something again! Thanks for the content Paul!

  5. Hello PSJ, love that you brought back the Stranded Deep series. And a tip for ya, you can craft organized stacks of resources by holding the resources and holding down the craft key. Love the Vids!!

  6. There's a button you can press to empty your hands (put everything away in your inventory). I looked at the default key binds and have no idea what "blockquote" is supposed to be, so I changed it to "X." I'm can't quite tell if you're doing this, but if you aren't, I thought it's a tip you'd be interested in. Thanks for more Stranded Deep, looking forward to more!

  7. It's official: I love your videos. I used to feel like I was the only "goofy Dad" who was also a die-hard survival gamer…but here you are, Scratchin' and Survivin' (Good Times! Ain't we lucky we got 'em?)
I'm loving the Stranded Deep play through, and Veloren, and MineCraft, and Darkness Falls (I'm a big 7D2D nerd)…and all the other new survival games you're checking out. If I were to do my own YouTube channel, I would 100% copy you. (I'm not. I won't. I'm lazy. Bank on it.) Give Gill a big "hello" for me (we went to ornithology school together), and I hope that all your dives turn up sweet, sweet loot.

  8. I don't think this game deserves to be out of early access. It still feels like an early access game and is def not completed. It's a good game, and good idea, but the execution hasn't been the best imo.
