  1. I LOVE starting my day with reading the Bible and TLC. I am so busy packing up my home to move, but I need this devotional time to set my heart and mind in the right mode. It is not easy to make this move but I know God is leading me and with me always. Scripture has made it clear He has gone before me. All will be ok. I love Him so much!

  2. "For such a time as this." I think there's no doubt that these immortal words should guide us today as well. If we have any influence, any power, any wealth, any talent or resource, we should use it in God's service. We should do whatever we can to push back against the evil in our culture.

  3. Vashti being removed from her position because she refused to be flaunted in front of other men. The "beauty pagent" for King Ahasuerus. It definitely irks me. But God. Even in this story, God is present. There is nothing that is by "chance". In today's reading of Esther, I saw great faith being displayed. Esther risked her life in order to save her people from slaughter. It encouraged me that no matter what happens in life, I can trust God.

Racism is not only wicked and arrogant, but it's also irrational. So true. It's definitely a work of the devil.

  4. God may not be mentioned in the text but he is with Esther in every chapter. This reminds me that God is working in my life always, even when it is hard to see, always working for good (Romans 8:28) and he is where the joy is!

  6. A great story. God is in our midst even if He is not mentioned. Because of Jesus, we can approach the King and have favor, mercy, forgiveness. Thank you Jesus, The King.

“And when the king saw Queen Esther standing in the court, she won favor in his sight, and he held out to Esther the golden scepter that was in his hand. Then Esther approached and touched the tip of the scepter.”

  7. It is interesting that God’s name is not in the book of Esther. However we see His importance and certainly His provision and presence here.
Many times in our lives we will have situations that challenge us on a level that seems unthinkable.
But as we SEEK GOD, not our own wisdom and rationing, we receive what we need to move forward. However not without fear or potential cost to us.
Walking with God does not mean ease, comfort and pleasure. But rather the power and filling of His spirit to allow us to do His will. There is nothing better than being in the middle of God’s will. His presence and love supersedes the difficulties.

“Then Mordecai told them to reply to Esther, “Do not think to yourself that in the king’s palace you will escape any more than all the other Jews. For if you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance will rise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?””
    ‭‭Esther‬ ‭4‬:‭13‬-‭14‬

  8. I loved in chapter 5 when Esther approaches the king and he extends his scepter. It reminds me of the day when we stand before God and He extends His grace to us. I also loved all the instances of 7 in the first 2 chapters. 7 is God’s number of perfection and it shows His thumbprint in this book
