'Ard boyz are the exact same as vindictors now except you can take vindictors in a 5 unit size!
Hi Vince, question, do you know of anyone that creates a meta report with winrates per faction? If so, is there a global one or only region specific?
In reference to Tyler's comment on checking the data, the goal is 60% of scroll played, so 40% unplayable is fine if they achieve target which is interesting….. and why GW balance effects casual players more
Callis and toll miniatures are 100% on the way
By the way the increased the point cost of the maelstorm by 20 bringin it to 50 but they forgot to put that on the battlescroll and only added it to the pitched battles profile. Great videos as always!
is Tyler a NewHeights Normie? I must know which Kelce he prefers. The Eagles have basically drafted my Bulldawgs starting Defense and I'm now a Philly fan by transitive property.
Another great warhammer weekly. IJ player and I agree with your takes. Frustrating because I was hoping for the big pig to give us a way to mitigate screens without being a copy of the ogors monstrous action. What we got was a monstrous action that does that but will barely ever work and the ogor monstrous action still got copied just by somebody else. So almost but not quite đ
Hey thank you for sharing my series! â¤
Big pigs not having impact hits seems like a big miss. I also think the momentum thing was a bit of a miss. maybe d3 when you move a d3 when you advance for 2d3 and d3 to charge. Or make it so you only lose momentum end of the battle round or only end of your turn. if the krew was 2 attacks per guy for a total of 4 instead of 2 i'd be a little more up on big pig. For the point cost i thought the gouger was better, but maybe the difference in monster action makes the difference.
the brutes i thought the weird boyz were generally better due to the 5+ ward, but it does seem mortal wounds are the way to go.
for the ardboyz was there discussion on which is better choppas or spears? I was leaning towards spears for the range for the 32mm bases and as they would be more anvil to get that rend when they are charged.

BIG PIG
Thanks for another great show guys! It will sound a little selfish but I do love the longer episodes. More awesomeness to listen too while hobbying away! đ Also I know you where joking when you said it but I'd totally be all for sarcastic story time with Vince as a regular thing! :')
As for the changes to OBR. I as an OBR player myself feel we got away quite lightly to be honest. Sure healing the Immortis/Stalkers back with only 1 wound will stop the recursion spam. But in my experience killing them in the first place within a Katakros list has always been the hard part to begin with. 5 wounds on a 2+/5++ each is ALOT to cut through without the right tool to do so. But it is a step in the right direction as the healing was oppressive and bad for the game. I'm amazed Null Myriad stayed untouched but expect to see that changed next balance update. But it's so nice to see the Mortek, Harvester and Cralwer all down. đ
I do not understand the points change to the slann. it does not fix what makes seraphon strong and it kills the slann in coalesced. I think you'll just see 2 starseers in every coalesced lists now (unless ppl go for kroak), which makes me very sad cause I dont care for starborne.
Great discussion around the IJ part of the book btw đ
Absolutely loved the Story Time with Vince. â¤
Big miss on the big pigs, but hopefully the AoR is more of a stop gap until the new book next edition.
Just love that IJZ have list options now and more importantly, some mortal wounds!
Please do a lore series!
The story until now…
(queue Carry On Wayward Son)
1:11:00 Vince is confused by the troll king being goaded through a portal in a setting that has a lot of magic portals and by a character who's main function is to goad big monsters. That is pretty crazy, I suppose đ
At this point whenever thereâs âhobby timeâ at the start of the show you need to bring me onto the pitch! I have so many hobby projects going on Tyler and Tom can just pick one of mine! đ
Have to get it all done before the next baby arrives to break more minis đ
I loved storytime! So much I even hit the like button.
3:05:00 In my opinion it's not that Chaos Warriors are bad-More that Knights are insanely good (mobile, an amazing hammer with their ability for the whole unit to strike and also an excellent anvil with 10 knights having 30 wounds on a 3+ save and 5+ MW protection). Really Knights should have gone up in points. Powerful units should not get a discount just because there are other even more powerful units in the same army.
Like for sarcastic storytime
Couldnât agree more with his lack of megaboss status. Actually canceled my order of the model just because all Iâve wanted for years was a megaboss on a pig and then we got a new type of boss, with no synergyâŚ
Can't wait for the next episode. =)
Nearly 4 hours. You guys are great
I 1000% would watch Vince Story Time Lore Videos.
Story time segment was rad and I'm happy it seems way more substantial than the pittance in the last book. The lore and artwork for what's currently going on is integral to my enjoyment of the game. The silly macguffins and plot contrivances are especially key. They're the key flavor that make this not feel like 40k.
Thanks again for a great show…and please, please đ do vinces story time…I would watch a 45 min book review in your sarcastic tone with pure joy.
Thanks, great show!
Thanks for the show guys. Just wanted to complain about how everything unique to ogors is taken by quite literally every other faction in the game, to the point that its just frustrating every time a new book comes out i look for "what did they steal from the ogors this time?". Im almost in a place where i just want a rewrite of a book that's only A YEAR OLD but my goodness can they stop spreading my rules over every other faction. If everyone is an ogor than there isnt anything unique about an army of them. Thank goodness for the frostlord (and now not even him) and cannons bc in all honesty outside of those two units i don't see that much of a difference between ogors and the other big elite units in the other factions.
The momentum rule reads a lot like the aggradon rage rule. These rules both suck.
Is the daemon prince simply doomed to be terrible for as long as apotheosis exists on the table?
How do they write a scroll that fits the lore, but doesn't break the game if a random fool of a hero (or 4) can ascend mid game?
There may be a correct answer, but will GW try for that bullseye, or just continue to play it safe by writing a dud?
Loved the story time with Vince V!
Liking for doggos on a shirt
Re Slaanesh: We have a Hedonites player in our friend group, and although we're nowhere near your guys' level of competitive play (it takes us sometimes upwards of 1 hour a round), none of us have ever had a problem with their rules.
As far as flavour goes, I'd put Hedonites up with Maggotkin as an absolute slam dunk win; the idea of the army getting stronger as the soldiers get more depraved in their violence is *chef's kiss*. We've also found that it doesn't add a whole lot of extra decision making to scenarios, maybe like 5 ~ 10 seconds?
And as a personal opinion, I'll say the growing strength of the army through Depravity points is a great way of distinguishing the Hedonites from the other superfast glass-cannon armies (Idoneth and DoK) mechanically. Now fighting Slaanesh is a race against the clock: can you kill them before their buffs reach critical mass?
Just my 2 cents, but I don't think they're a mechanically unfun mess, and more that they're maybe just not for you. I feel the same way about Khorne right now.
The bell either needs 2D6 ringing or a bonus to the roll for each consecutive turn you ring bell (so the consistency of high rolls improves as the game progresses)
