new strategy where i port over the structure of the acoustic melody i came up with into just the synth. recording loops directly runs into some really annoying timing problems so this way is quite a bit easier to work with.
i am once again running up against the maximum amount of complexity my computer can handle while recording, i had to mostly mix this without hearing it because the live playback was glitching the whole time. luckily vcv’s built in recorder patches over xruns so the finished copy doesn’t have any problems. i think it might be an obs settings problem from the new setup, but i’ll have to dig in some more.
really enjoying the new mixing techniques, a lot more layering and this time around trying to set some smaller parts deeper in the mix. ideally i’d have like 30 smaller tracks doing little flourishes here and there and all around the mix, but i’m gonna have to wait until i move to a daw setup where i don’t have to render everything live and at the same time. anyways i hope you like this one, let me know what you think! 🙂
