FactsVerse Presents: David Cassidy Regretted His One-Night Stand with Susan Day.
The Partridge Family was a popular show in the 70s that spurred David Cassidy to fame. His good looks and talented voice, amongst his many charming qualities, made him the fantasy of every American teenage girl at the time. It was no surprise that one of those girls happened to be none other than Susan Dey, his on-screen sister. Cassidy never saw Dey as the type of girl he would have a sexual desire towards. Instead, he saw her as the sister he never had.

Dey, on the other hand, was consumed soo much by her love for Cassidy that she refused to heed Shirley’s advice. But when Cassidy began to realize the kind of relationship Dey was hoping to establish, he was bewildered. However, they ended up having an intimate affair, after which he became certain a romantic relationship with Dey wasn’t what he wanted. As anticipated, he knew their affair would change the trajectory of their friendship. Dey was smart enough to understand that Cassidy wasn’t going to reciprocate her feeling toward him. She then moved on with her life, and the two remained more or fewer friends.
But a bad move on Cassidy’s side ruined their friendship. In 1994, Cassidy released his memoir entitled “C’mon, Get Happy… Fear and Loathing on the Partridge Family Bus,” which detailed his life struggles. In his memoir, he details some sensitive information regarding his relationship with Dey. Dey felt betrayed and violated by the details that were revealed in the memoir. She was so upset that she nulled the friendship that existed between them. Cassidy sent a written apology to Dey, which she never responded to. In fact, it was reported that she did not keep in touch with the cast of the show.

I would have never regreted a one night stand with susan dey!
Ha ha we all wanted to bed Susan Day back in the day. Great show.
I loved him lol he was so cute
I had a picture of David Cassidy on my wall😊
It would be difficult not to find David super attractive. 😊 He's one of a kind. 🎉
My favorite memory of David Cassidy is when he look at Susan Dey while they were performing and my favorite memory of Susan Dey is when she would be defending David Cassidy character Keith Her brother on the show
9:02 he really should have NEVER disclosed his relationship details with Susan Dey unless he made her aware of what he was going to say about it WITHOUT her consent.
to me, she always seemed such a quiet, thinking, gentle soul. she really lucked out when he relayed he thought of her as a sister rather than a love interest.
I feel sorry for him though, with the booze and unstable family and all that fame surrounding him his whole life. his mother should have taken way more care of her children even though she was a famous actress 😊
if you ask me, he led a very tragic life. rest in peace, David, your work here on earth is done 🙏
Susan Dey was gorgeous!
Despite their age difference??? They were 2 years apart.
His alcoholism took away his looks, his relationships, and his life.
So sad. He had it all…looks, talent, a smile that could light up a room. We never know how our lives will end. That's why no time for hate and pettiness.
Elvis was probably the best looking rock star . David 2nd , McCartney 3rd .
But all these teen stars all had their little innocent little flings . Like Greg and Marcia Brady would date each other and when there was a scene to shoot in the living room , Bobby and Cindy would sneak into the dog house by the garage on the other side of the set and make out . Stuff like that. The real villains are the Hollywood big wigs who got a kick out of taking away these kids souls away . Though sex or drugs. And sometimes they were even getting screwed by their own parents who stole their money , never mind their own managers.
"Despite their age difference, Cassidy treated Dey like a sister."
What is this supposed to mean? He was 2 years older. Who writes this garbage?
I was a small boy when the show was on. My most favorite memory of those two, as well as the entire cast, was the Christmas episode. I'm not the only one.
Cassidy said in an interview later in life he felt bad for Susan. He was aware of her crush on him, but he said was always attracted to women who were more on the wild side than the quieter, more sedate girls.
Shirley Jones interest in Cassidy was another story..err hum
I disagreed with Mr. Cassity, what he wrote on his book regarding Susan Dey,, I was taught to never talk bad about a woman, especially, if you have intimacy, that was cherished, you must be a man of honor, and I think by revealing it it made him less of a man.
Susan has the most beautiful eyes !!
Casedy was a fool. I would have taken Susan Dey in a heartbeat.
Love rich die poor af .
What sanitised crap, a blind man can see the chemistry between David and Susan, I bet there was more then one night spent together, How ever David is right, when a man and woman have sex the dynamic changes (and not always for the better).
Both were very attractive people and sometimes the contemplation is better than the reality.
Susan Dey was the only reason… And like many other guys did… We watched The Partridge Family lol
I used to get through a whole box of tissues watching her….. Sobbing at her beauty of course
Da vid was a fool lol.. I'd jump at the chance
Can't blame her for trying
Susan Deys hormones were raging and Cassidies chubby finally met, prolly lasted a minute…..pu$$y
Wow. He didn't have much left when he died. Sad ending.
"Despite their age difference"??? Two years!
Well, he was only 2yrs older, big deal… April 12, 1950, New York, New York, U.S. and Susan was born Birth Date 1952-12-10
