An MCU favorite is “relieved” to start his next chapter — and it appears he’s not alone. So what does this say about the impact being a Marvel star has on the studio’s stable of performers?

  1. The problem is that actors age and most actors don't want to do the same project for the rest of their lives, especially when there are physical aspects of the job they simply can't commit to forever.

  2. MCU might give him some other roles that could really fit his likes, since the multiverse is open in MCU. Also seeing him to the new DC Cinematic Universe might also be good prolly seeing him as Bane. On the other hand, the audience might get that superhero fatigue due the number of super hero themed movies we get to watch this past few years. Maybe its just me but kinda missing the old MCU, Disney is making the MCU like a fairy tale..

  3. It’s not the MCU that’s just life. I’ve seen many actors leave all kinds of shows, movies, etc because they didn’t want to it be their legacy in acting but the truth is you can’t always pick your legacy on the big screen. Simply you may only get to choose between either having one or not.

  4. I really think that there's only one thing that I disagree with that Bautista said and it's that Drax is kinda just a silly role. Yes, he's a silly character. However, I think that silliness is part of what gives Drax such depth. Drax the Destroyer, a great warrior who is both serious and silly. Aggressive and compassionate. Intimidating and empathetic. I think Bautista did an amazing job making Drax possibly the most dynamic character in the MCU, and even though he may not have frontman status he might be the most compelling character in the MCU.

  5. When trying to understand an MCU contract it's best to watch the scene in the original Space Jam where Danny Devito's character is explaining to Michael Jordan what will happen to him if he loses the game.

  6. People leave projects all the time for a variety reason; sometimes it can be a mistake, as actors that are known for a certain role rarely can actually do something as good or greater! Bassista may do well in other projects, but he will always be known as Drax.
