I liked how Scott gave them the gospel when describing how Christians need to tell those who have had abortions about God’s forgiveness. Just because people call themselves Christians doesn’t mean they are. If they think the gospel is social justice/ socialism plus Jesus, then they need to hear the real Gospel.
I must disagree that most churches are doing something. I have attended 4 SBC churches over the last 30 years and very little was said or done to support our local crisis pregnancy centers or speak boldly about abortion from the pulpit. In fact, when I set up a table at “missions day” or to help raise awareness & funding, I was amazed at how people would come to me for help or to answer questions that they should be getting answers from our leadership. This issue is swept under the rug most times because they don’t want to “offend“ anyone. Standing strong against abortion, supporting adoption and also talking about sex is for marriage need to be regularly brought up. But also the church needs to come along side women/men who choose Life. And Ms Pryor doesn’t realize how many black lives have been saved and supported by pro-lifers! She needs to actually go into a crisis pregnancy center and see what’s going on.
Scott plays too much to the acceptable paradigm. He says it should be illegal to discriminate. He cannot biblically justify the state forcing people to associate with those they do not want to associate with.
