Actor and performer Darlington Michaels has passed away.
A family member confirmed his death.
The Joburg-based actor died after a short illness at the age of 54.
Darlington was known to many in the SABC3 soapie Isidingo as Georgie ‘Papa G’ Zamdela.

Point of corrections SABC, i was very close to Papa G. He was seventy something not 54. I remember he took to see Mr. Gibson Kente at the hospital before he passed on. RIP Papa G.

I don't agree with the fact that papa G. was 54 yrs old. I watched him play in Gibson Kente's Poor Mama and the Load. That was in the 80s. He played along side the likes of Sello Maake and Don Mlangeni. He was older than a person of 1970.
Anyway Rest in internal peace papa G. We knew him as Mtshozitshe in that play. We will forever remember and love you as the best entertainer.
