Podcast is Called : ASN Humans Are Space Orcs , HFY and other stories
————–

This Story is Classified as HFY or Humanity Feck, Yea , but what does the Mean?
————-
HFY is a story/series that takes a “human element” in either humanity or an “other” (race/species or object) that exists in a “setting” (future or other world/universe) with varying levels of culture, technology, society and history that help show in some shape or form the potential good or bad for humanity’s race/culture. In These stories Humans are often referred to as Human, Humanity, Deathworlder, Hellwolder in reference to the human planet of origin , Earth. This planet is seen by most of the universe as a place where only death and chaos can survive.
————-
Taken from the FAQ of the r/HFY subreddit.

Humans Are Space Orcs (HASO) or Humans Are (Fantasy Race) Are used as a guide when writing.
In these Stories we normally View humans like the other races view orcs in a Fantasy Novel. We (Humans) share the same characteristics and personalities as orcs. Humans are normally treated as the outsiders and barbarians. Humans tend to be underestimated as well in these stories. Unlike Humanity Feck Yea , these don’t always put a positive spin on humanshumanity sometimes looking at the darker side of human and humanity from the perspective of aliens.

  1. “Before you embark on a journey of revenge, dig two graves.” – Confucius.

“When you begin a journey of revenge, start by digging two graves: one for your enemy, and one for yourself.” – Jodi Picoult

When revenge is the only thing keeping you going, once you've gotten it, well…
There's not much left except the hurt.

A necessary tale, a pertinent warning, a tragic ending.

    A thing we wish wasn't needed…

Your telling is a great work Narrator, of such a somber material.

  2. I related to that farmer's pain. My wife is the reason I pulled myself out of my depression and guilt. She is the literal reason I breathe and if someone took her the visceral response would be beyond brutal. Words like wrath, rage, anger, fury, etc… they don't fully discribe the feeling that starts to form when thinking about it. There would be nothing holding me in place or even together. So, yeah I get it, and I understand why the farmer did it. They took his reason.

  3. I can only see that way they are attempting rescue and relieve operation as ending in tragedy since during a civil war either side will react with fire if you just try to land in between them. Imagine the Alien looking Japanese landing in the middle of the USA civil war and trying to get both sides to stop. That would end up in a 3 way combat and even more destruction. Especially with how they solved it by suppressing the war only will lead to more bloodshed down the line and an unstable country

So all in all I think you made a great representation of how relief organizations work. Now add the free food deliveries that put the local farmers out of business, incentivize them to plant cash crops, which leads to a dependency on import and it would be perfect.
