  1. @ItsAPrimate

Don Rigoletto was New York's top old-school gangster and the former boss of Wilson Fisk. Back then, Fisk was Rigoletto's bodyguard/enforcer before Fisk had Rigoletto and his wife killed and he took over Rigoletto's organization. That's when Wilson Fisk became the new head mobster (the next Al Capone or Pablo Escobar) of New York City and the leader of his cartel. Wilson Fisk operates like a professional C.E.O. of a big conglomerate and his fellow crimes lords (Madame Gao, Leland Owlsley, Nobu Yoshioka, and formerly the Ranskahov Brothers) are his Board of Directors in his cartel.

  2. Another great episode! Fisk is truly the best Marvel villain, especially when compared to Marvel's usual villains that have the exact same powers as the heroes. Even in a Disney+ kiddies show like "Hawkeye" the actor was still manacing, amazing considering the mediocre script 🤪

  3. This episode shows just how amazing the writing in this show is and how well they follow show, don't tell. You are right about Fisk's dad, everything he said was a good life lesson. The problem was HOW he taught it, everything was a little twisted. That's what molded Fisk into Kingpin. You can see the good in him, it's just been so twisted that it's become evil and that's the big tragedy of all this. If Fisk had a good father he would of been the hero of this story. And that, is what makes him an amazing villain.

  4. Not sure if anyone has pointed this out to you yet but in the comics the newspaper that Benny works for is the Daily Bugle and the boss he butts heads with there is J Jonah Jameson. As such besides regularly working with Daredevil, Ben also works alongside Peter Parker as both a co-worker and an inside source of information for Spider-Man (he figured out Peter was Spider-Man entirely on his own)

  5. dude everytime someone does a monologue on this series is an "A" fucking plus, chills at the end with fisk giving that speech, also yes every character is super deep and filled with layers, the level of writing in daredevil is fantastic

  7. Fisk is evil in its purest form. To sympathize with a man genuinely then go send him to kill his best friend is straight vile. You could tell nothing makes Fisk happier than poetic justice
