  1. Looking at drafts of the past, it is obvious that no one has a clue how a QB will turn out in the pros.
    Consider:
Johnny Unitas was a walk on
    Brett Favre #33
    Dan Marino #27
    Tom Brady #199
    Aaron Rodgers #24.
And, #1s including such mediocre QBs as
    Sam Bradford
    Trevor Lawrence
    Baker Mayfield
    Matthew Stafford.

In this draft — the best QB will more likely be Nix, or Penix, or Daniels than it si to be Caleb.

If the Bears really want a QB, they would be better to trade #1, get some more high picks, and then draft one of the other guys.
Drafting Caleb #1 is stupid and incompetent, IMO.
    It defies the stats.

  2. The Bears are not getting a 2nd for fields, he has played 40 nfl games, what else do you need to see. He is worth 3rd at most , more likely a 4th. He will be a career backup. The only way the chargers saty at 5 is if Marvin Harris is there, they will trade back. I'm sure the people who do these mocks don't actually look at roster situation or cap space when they do these mocks. The chargers have to many holes to fill, they will end up cutting Mack , Williams , Fox , Kendricks , Linsley retires just to get cap compliant , Thats not includuing Bosa and keenan cuts/trades.

  3. Agreed with everything you said on the Dallas Turner pick for the Falcons. You also nailed it on the ridley trade value terms. It's already a 3rd bc he played more than 60% of the snaps last year. Only other condition now is if he signs a new contract with the Jags it goes to a 2nd. Thats pretty much it on that front for the trade. Where as i was somewhat against Turner at 1st based on scheme fit under Nielsen. He is taking interviews elsewhere and might not be here so i don't know our scheme anymore. Which means im taking a player based on talent at this point and Turner is a great talent at Edge and if he fits the new DC scheme im more than ok with Turner at 8 if the top 3 QB's are gone by then. If Nielsen is kept and the same scheme is kept then like you said a 270+ guy in Latu or Verse might be better then. But turner is cool for now until we find out the coaching staff and schemes.

Penix in round 2 is a fricken god send imo and Turner + Penix could very well be a elite draft for us and best case scenario. I would even still take Penix in round 2 if we signed Cousins in FA to learn under him a year or 2 like Rodgers and Love did in GB then let him take over after that.

  4. I am fine with MHJ and DeJean, but I did have questions since Wiggins, McKinstry, and Newton were still available at our second 1st round pick. We need CB help bad, but is DeJean the answer as a CB1 in the NFL?

  5. I am fine with this Mock draft for the Cards…only if they get these three FAs to help shore up other needs: Michael Onwenu (NE OL), LʻJarius Snead (KC CB), and Justin Madubuike (BAL Dline). We need a starting OT bad, Snead and DeJean I think would be a good duo for coverage, and Sweat and Madubuike would help with interior pressure and getting gashed by the run.

  6. <residentraidersfan> QBs going 1, 2, 3 is starting to be almost universally accepted at this point… which makes it next to impossible that anyone lower down (like the Raiders) will be able to move up for one of the top 3 names. At the same time, Raiders rumours are buzzing that we're trying to grab either Williams or Daniels – the only team that might consider moving is Chicago, but they'll want an unprecedented haul for #1 – just can't see it happening.
DJs mock… I've been saying for a while that RT is a serious R1 option, although Mims might have been the better choice because I can't see Miller moving from the left. Love the Jenkins pick in R2.

  7. The Texans do have a tendency to get gashed up the middle by the run. I like the chop Robinson pick but would be happy with a Sweat, or Murphy selection as well. Big interior D lineman that can rush a little and stuff the run. We also definitely need play makers, if teams take away Nico we have absolutely no production from other receivers. Players I’d look at with out 59th pick is Brenden Rice, Devontez Walker, Xavier Worthy, Malachi Corley, and Jaylnn Polk

  8. No Chop Robinson for my Houston Texans at #23. Bad choice!
The Texans need a defensive tackle, not an edge dude. I don’t care how gifted Chop Robinson is, they need a tackle.
We need to draft for need ahead of best player available.
I like Ja’Tavion Sanders at #59. He is not a prototype tight end, but is very athletic for his size. Good pick!

  9. Guyton great pick he can be swing backup OT for two years till he replaces Lane. No to a third string CB that is nothing but depth. Love LB but Cooper or Wilson are the two best and no one else is close. The rest are 3-4th rd picks.
