An outbreak of potentially dangerous and widespread severe thunderstorms are forecast to develop across South Australia this afternoon and extend into New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria from tonight and into tomorrow morning.

  1. Hey Josh, have you ever seen supercells fire up so far south and so early in the season?
    The windshear, CAPE and dewpoints have a US vibe to it with this system.
    A.large supercell near Hawker (SA) at 6pm tonight had tops around 55,000 ft.
    Impressive.

  2. 43c in Pimba SA at 3 pm 30m latter 24c Plenty of small hail and lots of wind. Flipped ute in front of me on its side and further down the Stuart Highway rolled an empty livestock road train on its side as well
