Dangerous Severe Storms are Forecast to Lash Brisbane and The Sunshine Coast Tonight



Another burst of severe thunderstorms are forecast to blow up tonight along the Sunshine Coast and the central Queensland coastline tonight, with some significant rainfall and damaging winds now possible. Severe storms are forecast outside of Bundaberg and Rockhampton as well, later this afternoon.

  1. Hi Josh not sure where your info is coming from about Rockhampton hasnt dried out….dont listen to BOM as we are very dry with large cracks in the ground…and yes last rain event a few weeks ago we did have 150mm but its all gone now….50mm now wld be very welcome and wldnt cause any flooding

  3. Wasn’t that bad on the Goldie y/day yet still great to get the storms ⛈️ but I’ll wait for the arrival of them again soon 🫣✌️ cheers Josh gotta feel for those people in Florida & the other south eastern states so much devestation

  4. From Buderim Sunshine Coast, midday 9/10/24. We missed all but light rain last night but could see the lightning from the storm that was hitting Caboolture hard. Storms also hit north and west of us. Today had that hot, humid feel the often precedes thunderstorms but it has become light rain.

  5. Hi Josh_ As usual miss all the rain this far north.Just to early in season to get any monsoonal activity so rain for next few months be low mm until wet builds At least some are getting some much needed rain.First night shift do last night not need a coat winter done n dusted.cheers Bob
