I don't know why some people think that average driver drive without any mistake for thousands of miles. It's simply not true. People do mistakes all the time. When FSD beat this It's already safer.
I'm not sure why this Space is including Dan O'Dowd. Everyone speaking is engaging honestly, except Dan. Everyone except Dan has no hidden agendas. Everyone except Dan is trying t have an honest conversation about FSD's prospects. Dan is a "dishonest actor". So why is he included in the conversation? And the answer isn't "because of freedom of speech". Dan says that FSD should be turned off on all Teslas. This can result in someone being seriously hurt or killed. This is why Dan's speech is not considered "protected speech". Let's have some transparency regarding the software that Dan's company wants to bring to market and Tesla's FSD is a threat to his software's success, thus the misrepresentations of FSD that Dan makes. Dishonest actors should not be part of these discussions.

I imagine a 5-10x parameter count takes advantage of HW4, but it's yet to be seen how the 5-10x factor translates to miles per intervention. If it's not an exponentially higher mpi, say from 100mpi to 10000mpi, that will not look good for a robotaxi at scale in the near future.

12.3.6 = vapourware it is PSD not FSD…220kms per day..highway 95%…so highway behaviour (intervention is anytime i have to do something FSD should do) is garbage as follows = 100% fail in shitty weather (FSD has a heart attack and immediately fails, driver must take over, reason cameras can't see and die, i can see and continue driving)..return to lane = 100% fail (i must initiate the lane change), on-off ramp = 100% fail (the jarring steering wheel movement is a fail, completely unhuman), pot hole avoidance = 100% fail, move over for vehicles on shoulder = 100%, FSD lane change to pass =50% fail (inconsistent behaviour earlier today one lane change was 31 sec. before pass, next lane change was 10 sec before pass, next pass was speed reduction then lane change 3 sec. before)…this in addition to phantom braking, wipers behaviour that is odd…camera technology is a fail, so easily occuluded..software seems to have brain farts, or delayed recognition or…my interventions are about 50/day…my wife refuses to use based on inconsistent and worrisome and unacceptable behaviour. Tesla is suspect is way better than the rest but i only own a Tesla. i agree Tesla touts FSD and it is simply not that, nor will be for years based on progress to date… streets of LA are goofball silly to touting FSD
silly discussion on why use. PSD…if Tesla offered me a full refund i would take it in a second and wait years until actually FSD (which implies from moment i sit in car until out it drives for me) why do i use daily on work drive..simple i own it and on good weather days when no other cars on road it works as i need it to. but i intervene on an ongoing basis, lucky i know where FSD = fail…for the fluffers failures have been known for years but no fix..why it is either other hardware or software issues/failures keep engineers focused.
