It will not decline!!!❤
Being beaten with many or few blows is from Luke 12 (esp – 41-48) where Jesus is talking about his return.
The one who stops working at being ready for The Master to come v the one who is trying.
It reminds me of a Thomas Merton prayer which includes "Just because I think I'm doing your will doesn't mean I am actually doing so, but I desire to do your will and I know that desire pleases you"
The Chosen HAS NEVER been on the decline The writers are amazing because they have The Bible at the heart of their script! I’m so very grateful to the Lord for planting in Dallas’ heart to make a series about our Savior! Past movies like Jesus of Nazareth, The Ten Commandments, and Ben Hur were very moving at time when society was not as open about their faith as it is now Professionals in the film industry, Intellectuals, film critics, etc will pick movies/ tv series apart What really matters is what Dallas & the other writers are trying to do – show Jesus Christ as fully man fully God while He was here on earth and teaching us to love as He loves This show has impacted thousands if not millions of people to want Jesus in their life A few negative commentaries do not in any way shape or form reflect the immense goodness that’s come from this show
I found the Hebrew symbol in the Easter Egg you spoke about near the end of the full live. It is called Tav and is a variant of Sav.
I just wanted you to know that your Pastor's heart is still going strong. Reaching people for Christ is our calling. Thank you so much for following yours. ❤✝️
Peterson was talking about Luke 12:35-48 where the servant who knew better receives a greater punishment.
I DONT KNOW WHOSE SIDE YOUR ON DETECTIVE 🕵️ 🧐 YOU COMPARED APPLES TO ORANGES BY COMPARING THE CHOSEN TO STAR WARS. AND JESUS IS THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD SO HE TEACHES US TO BE RIGHT. RIGHT WING 😊 IF WE LEAN ANY OTHER WAY BUT RIGHT WE ARE LUKE WARM. THIS SHOW IS GOING TO CREATE THE CHANGE WE NEED ALL OVER THE WORLD FROM CORNER TO CORNER. VISUALLY. TO GOD BE THE GLORY. FATHER PLACE A HEDGE OF PROTECTION AROUND ALL THOSE INVOLVED IN TELLING THIS STORY BLESS THEIR COMINGS AND GOINGS AND ANOINT ALL NATIONS WITH THE ETERNAL GLORY OF GOD AMEN AND PLACE AN EXTRA ANGEL OR TWO AROUND JONATHAN ROUMIE PLEASE GIVE HIM AND THE CAST ALL THEY NEED TO ENDURE ANY BACKLASH AGAINST THIS WONDERFUL PLAN OF GOD . AMEN 🙏🏽 😊
HOW ACCURATE IS THE CHOSEN?🙏
Peterson NEVER intimidated that the Chosen was/is in decline, so it’s pretty much obvious it’s not a thing. You made it sound like he said it was in decline. Click bait 🙁
We will watch the chosen for ever !!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I agree the quality of the series is improving. Attendance at theaters is way down not only for the Chosen but for other good Christian movies. However it seems to me that crowds are much bigger for Christian singers. Definitely more distractions and internet platforms competing for our time.
Christianity is conservative, it’s Protestants who make Jesus and Christianity this effeminate hippy lovey dovey religion😂😂 it’s no wonder the conservative Christian’s absolutely destroy the effeminate Protestants in every discussion
Dalas Jenkins you are beautiful person!! Just listening you explained yourself how you want people to see And feel Jesus through your work and through your eyes touch my heart. Thank you for giving us CHOSEN. Your fan from Brisbane Australia. May God bless you and your family 🙏❤🇦🇺
Luke 12:48 I think is the verse you're looking for.
I enjoy listening and learning, from you! I don’t comment enough so that you know! Thank you. 🙏 God Bless You
Peterson honestly is raising a very valid point behind his question about the decline which is when will we reach the point of "Chosen" or "Dallas Jenkins" oversaturation? Dallas is definitely at his peak right now but we have seen other artists, creators, writers, etc. who get overexposed and people lose interest.
Thank you Brandon for all that you do! Listening to you feels like a "iron sharpens iron" moment. Appreciate your insight!
What is making people believe that The Chosen is in decline? I think they're doing all they can.
I feel like you have God‘s anointing. The chosen would not be the same for me if I did not have you and your deep dives and your discussions. My dear friend feels the same. She and I are constantly sharing information that we learn from you and then we share itwith family and friends. You speak so much truth it is from God.
I DONT THINK THE CHOSEN WILL EVER DECLINE. THIS CHOSEN HAS BROUGHT SO MANEY TO JESUS ,AND I THINK IT WILL KEEP GOING . ITS TEACHING US ABOUT THE BIBLE
For a show that's literally free to watch, they've done a fantastic job.
The Chosen is amazing. I would wait as long as it takes to watch the New Season. This is Jesus’ 3 year walk when he was on earth. Who HE was and what HE did brings it to me. People. Donot turn your back on this Movie. Be there for the long run. God bless you for you will receive blessings. Dallas Jenkins has poured his heart and soul into this. ❤❤❤❤ 🙏🙏🙏🙏
The Chosen's dialogue seems too modern, too Western. It takes me out of the time and place it's suppose to be placed in.
The chosen's click bait king strikes again. Didn't even have to watch your video because I had seen Peterson's video.
11:36 breaking the lambs leg?? wth did you get this in the bible or you just make up things as you go along
I think people will watch it out of curiosity (how will Dallas depict major events?), but I’m not so sure about re-watches.
I liked S4 but watched it only once because of its heavy, negative overtones and monotonous exposition (lotta trail talk).
I stared reading my Bible after watching the first season of The Chosen. I’m now on my second read.
I don’t think the interviewer knew at first Dallas was speaking of his Christian salvation and growth.
As a child growing up I've always enjoyed Christian films…. Unfortunately as I found it to be a little bit confusing and my parents did the best they could to teach me about my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. And as I got older I found myself walking away. When I discovered the show The chosen it made everything so much clearer for me. And I am fully proud to say that I have embraced Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior and because of the show I have a clear understanding of the word of God and my faith has gotten so much stronger. And then I discovered your YouTube channel and that was like a bonus feature for me I consider it a part of my Bible study during the day that I can sit and listen and enjoy the teachings of Christ. Long story short I truly appreciate the chosen as well as your Channel. 🙏🏾
@TheChosenSleuth, I think the parable the Jodan was referring to at 9:08 is the parable of the servant who didn’t do his master’s will, as it say in Luke chapter twelve “the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the unbelievers. And that servant who knew his master’s will, and did not prepare himself or do according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. But he who did not know, yet committed things deserving of stripes, shall be beaten with few. For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more.” Luke 12:46-48 NKJV
dallas is alienating some of his cast
Lol such a click baited title.. Title suggest that the Chosen is ALREADY IN DECLINE.. Unsubcribed
9:00. Maybe they're thinking of this verse:
Luke 12:48 But someone who does not know, and then does something wrong, will be punished only lightly. When someone has been given much, much will be required in return; and when someone has been entrusted with much, even more will be required.
I am not a fan of organized religion, but I do have a spiritual connection to Jesus and God. Watching the Chosen and watching you Brandon have brought me so much more understanding of what you both are teaching. You both put it in a way I can follow and enjoy, bringing me even closer to them. Thank you for explaining things in a way I can understand. ❤❤
I love The Chosen and YES I am a true believer. I have been for many years. It's being a "gatherer" that's hard. God knows that I have been trying to "gather" some of the people that I work with every day. I have mentioned to them, numerous times, to watch The Chosen and shared certain parts of the show, but they haven't even tried to watch it even when they says, "Oh I'll have to check it out". Same goes with my family. It's frustrating, but I'm never going to give up on any of them. I pray all the time, especially for my family, that God keeps knocking on their doors and that they hear Him, Find Him and open their doors and let Him in. They truly need Him in their lives and I pray they find Him. 💖🙏💖🙏💖🙏
It also reminds me of 2 Peter 2:21. Wonderfully put by JP!
You asked about our beliefs. I've been a non-denominational Christian most of my life. I began observing the Sabbath. At 73 Holy Spirit is still teaching me new things.
I respect your attention to scripture & knowledge of the practices of the Jewish people at this point in history. May the Lord continue to guide you & use you.
Why would you leave a flock of your church as a pastor to the YouTube people?!?!??
Dallas Jenkins will be an extraordinary director as long as it stays true to the Word of God and God Almighty leads and is the true director it will always be a success for knowing Jesus Christ of NAZARETH at the four corners of the World 🌎 and everyone between.
these clickbait titles are off putting.
I have no idea who Jordan Peterson is, but the exchange between him and Dallas has been very interesting.
I loved the Chosen at first, but I stopped watching halfway through season four. Two things didn’t sit right with me: Jesus being selective with his healings while on Earth, and fridging two major women characters.
I do love that the writers explain why some people aren’t healed nowadays, but it would’ve been best to explore that AFTER Jesus ascends to heaven, for Jesus was healing EVERYONE who came to him while He was on Earth, as He brought heaven to Earth. It was impossible for any kind of sin or brokenness to withstand His very presence. Plus, nowhere in the Gospels did it say Jesus HADN’T healed someone for the sake of His message (cough cough Ramah). So to show Jesus not to heal specific people seemed manipulative at best to a viewer who isn’t familiar with the Gospels. Save this topic for the exploration of the book of Acts.
Fridging is a newer literary term meaning “to make a woman character suffer just to make a male character learn a lesson.” This device simply doesn’t work when dealing with Jesus. Jesus 100% would have comforted Eden after her horrid experience with miscarriage. Yet the show only showed Jesus sighing for her, and had made Simon the soul sufferer of her miscarriage. Yes, the walking on water scene was beautifully done, but Eden also needed a similar moment with Jesus. Otherwise, it went against what Jesus said to her earlier that God saw her, too. We need consistency with Jesus’s character here. Jesus had a moment with James the Lesser and Simon Peter. The writers needed to give Eden that moment, too, as it’s a very emotional topic for women as well, not just the men.
The other form of fridging that was completely unnecessary was the death of Ramah—which resulted from a mob that JESUS incited. Jesus doesn’t need someone to die for his cause. He will die for His OWN cause. He 100% would have healed Ramah. But the writers killed her for the sake of turning Thomas into the “doubting Thomas”? All they did was make Jesus out as a manipulator. Can’t watch after that.
Yes, I sooooo agree with how you add (somewhere around the 14:00 mark) that our relationship with Jesus needs awe and respect as well as the enjoyment of intimate fellowship with Him – totally my own words, but I'm pretty sure it comes close to what you were emphasising ("two sides") We definitely need both!
Such a beautiful description: "level 2 of the Chosen". Please, keep going!!!
