He’s an award-winning musician with a busy summer of touring. But Dallas Green (Alexisonfire & City and Colour) found time ahead of the playoffs to sit down with Jeff and Elliotte for a lengthy chat about how the pandemic reinvigorated his passion, playing in legendary venues, opening for Rage Against the Machine & The Red Hot Chili Peppers, how athletes and musicians have to find a level of obsession and an ability to set aside criticism, his writing process, and he tells us about his feature piece with Ryan O’Reilly at Massey Hall.

First
Saw him last night with Alexisonfire in Boston and earlier in the year with City and Colour. Awesome musician!
Wonderful interview. Always been a big fan of Dallas. Saw him live in Toronto many years ago and it was an amazing experience. Good job everyone on uploading this 🙂
Really great interview. Love everything Dallas does, and it's interviews like this that really show us how lucky we are as hockey fans to have 2 incredible interviewers like Jeff Marek and Elliotte Friedman, who can get the best of answers out of anybody, even when the sports aren't involved.
As a band musician, hockey is the best analogy
Would love to see more types of these interviews. Great job guys!
Question: What does Dallas Green have to do with sports?
Answer: NOTHING!
Did Marek ever monopolize that interview!!
Interesting and thoughtful interview. A refreshing change from some of the regular music industry questions.
