I really like Rohan they are my favorite good human faction. I hope they get a chance to shine better in the next patch. It was a good battle either way though. I hope we get a chance to see the new orc faction. I'm really looking forward to seeing how infantry, calvary, and ranged units change. Particulary calvary. Nonetheless great commentary as always.
33:58 not alone, but they aren't supposed to, Erebor was actually doing the right thing here despite what some may say, but when you mentioned i had a Strong Feeling his allies weren't going to follow up and use the window Erebor was giving them because most times they don't, main reason attackers go on to lose, lack of coordination/comunication and to a lack of commitement. Erebor was tying up all of Dorwinion and most of Mirkwood arches and all BD units/ents, i don't blame Rohan for being cautious as they are by Far the worst faction for this here and should in my opnion have been supported by Gondor from the beggining Far more then Khazad and especially at that moment since Mirkwood line was way more vulnerable then Dale's and Rohan needed the help Far More but once you see what Erebor's doing you have no choice but to also fully commit even if Gondor isn't supporting you as you need because that's by Far the best chance you will ever have, especially for Rohan, to push through, when most of Mirkwood is trying to help Dorwinion defeat Erebor, if you do that you have a good chance of winning by overwhelming the defenders with enough strenght and speed they can't react well to it (this is Especially effective on elven factions) and Khazad-Dum keeping Dale busy (the trebuchet being there was i think the right choice as Dale position was easier to hit) but if you don't and barely attack while Erebor is being ganged up on and destroyed then they are in the worst position they could be because now Mirkwood and Dorwinion can fully focus on Rohan with maybe a little support for Dale which for any faction would be bad but for Rohan it's a No Win Scenario unless they are fully supported by Gondor otherwise the defenders can focus on helping Dale as Rohan would require very little for them to contain, especially so vulnerable to their arches, even more so the elven ones, in that case while the attackers can still win, it's possible just a Much Smaller chance then before and their best bet is Hope and pray the defenders spent enough ammo and got damaged enough by finishing Erebor that they don't have enough to beat them as long as they don't fuck up but that's a really risky bet that wouldn't be necessary if they just fully attacked when Erebor did and when it was the focus of the defenders. If Erebor didin't warn it's allies what it was going to do and the battle plan was another then that sucks and again Lack of Comunication but by that point when you see that they already are all in you have no choice but to also do it for the reasons i said and all that Umad said many times before otherwise while you can still pull it off if you don't it's much more difficult and risky.
great battle all around, with a great deal of back and forth. love to see dwarven attackers, as they can suddenly decide to become extremely aggressive and near unstoppable. Rohan did pretty good despite being the worst faction.
spoilers The defenders deserved their victory. they slipped up a few times but when push came to shove they organized a defensive line and mowed down the dwarves by shooting them in the back near that chokepoint. I wonder if Dorwinion had reacted faster to the Erebor aggression they might have been able to stamp it out quicker and more succinctly. then again, erebor over-extending themselves allowing Dorwinion to finish them up completely might have given the defenders the edge they needed.
the attackers should have coordinated better, and with factions like Rohan you should either act as support or be extremely aggressive i think. I really wish rohan to be made better as a faction in the near future.
If everyone had taken Erebor's initiative and attacked with similar force at the same time that he did, the attackers would have easily won. The total lack of aggression by his teammates until it was too late was very disappointing. Knowing they were already disadvantaged by this being a 4v4 instead of a 3v4 or 5v3, the attackers should have also known speed was of the essence. Just sitting there and being shredded by projectiles from 4 armies for way too long instead of engaging as soon as possible was the worst possible decision.
Apparently every other Third Age YouTuber is on hiatus indefinitely, very sad…keep up the great work Umad, you're our best commentator and sole source for these battles on a regular basis. Hope the others return soon. Until then, you are not allowed to take any breaks from the channel longer than 24 hours…;-)

Tommytheunwise really lived up to his name
Keep it up Umad commander ! Good work bro
Nice to see more aggresiveness in the battle. Makes it more exciting to watch instead of a long long grind

What a shame. Needed better timing and communication
