The Arizona dad accused of leaving his 2-year-old daughter in the car while he got sidetracked playing video games is now facing a murder charge in her death. Christopher Scholtes can be heard in a newly released 911 call begging for help after his wife came home and realized Parker Scholtes was still in the car. Scholtes can be heard telling his wife the young toddler was in the car for “like a half hour,” yet investigators say it was over three hours. This is beyond negligent. He deserves to rot in jail. A child should not be left in a car by itself no matter what. How many times does this have to happen before people wake up and realize it's dangerous?
And kids left alone with this clown who doesn’t even know CPR 😡
I’m also beginning to believe the court system is locking parents up for just about anything now too! It’s getting wicked!!
I hope they give the jury a choice of 1st degree or 2nd degree
The mom: "This doesn't represent him" yet she messaged him on the day and said she told him not to leave the kids in the car, so yeah, it represents him.
If my husband ever left my child in a car and played video games he would have been sent to hospital!
I wld never speak to him again after this…a beautiful pure innocent child gone.
Heartbreaking 💔
The both deserve prison!
His wife knew he was leaving the children in the car!
Why leave him or trust him with the children!
Makes me sick
When he said “parents make mistakes” No. How dare you call this a mistake! THIS WAS NO MISTAKE. It was a horrendous selfish act!
Mom deserves a charge too, in my opinion. She knew he engaged in this reckless and dangerous behavior and allowed him to be charged with caring for their children. It was an accident. He intentionally left her in the car and knew how long the car would run while idle. They did that poor baby so incredibly wrong. Listening to mom talk during the hearing was…. Par for the course. No one shares "this bond"?! No tears?! I am shocked.
This is, sadly, the state of the typical modern male.
I feel vad for this dad.. whoever how do you forget about your kid.. you couldve brought her with you.. it wasnt premeditated but extremely irresponsible
She new he was a failure but continued to trust him with her kid
An aside:
The lawyer said, "DRUNK is not a defense in any case."
That irks me because WHY then are drunk drivers only charged with manslaughter when they end up killing someone due to their irresponsible behavior?"
They should be charged with murder, IMO.
The wife is insane and disgusting to defend him. That poor baby and those other children don’t deserve either of them as parents!!!
Wow what an awful tragedy.
Glad he got charged with first degree murder… your car isn’t your baby sitter cause u don’t want to parent
Imagine this woman being an anesthesiologist during your surgery, SCARY! Should have her license revoked. If you can't be responsible for your own family, why put innocent patients at risk!!!!
Why has he go out to play video games? Cant he play it in phone or at home
I don’t even leave my child in the car alone to get gas let alone, in the car unattended for any reason whatsoever. This was 100% intentional, and plethora of things could happen to a child left alone in a vehicle. My heart breaks for this baby! She didn’t deserve this, especially from someone who was supposed to be her protector. 🙏🏾😢💔
Mother just never sounds to have much sorrow. More for the husband than her daughter.
Honda Acura? 🫠
Mom may start to change her tune about him once the shock wears off
Wow how sad he deserves to be locked up but not for first degree. There are others who do worse to children and this justice does nothing to them. He is negligent.
He said it was only half an hour, but it was three hours and he lied to his wife when he she was literally dying there in a life or death. Well too late unfortunately death situation…
went out and checked on her periodically?????? what?!
As a father of 3…I would walk to the cell and lock myself away if I didn't do worse to myself first. Nope. More to this. The wife/mom may be taking this angle to prevent herself from reality because the truth and pain would lead to self-destruction. Unreal that he was released. Hug your loved ones.
I thought it was so odd how the family member was talking about the funeral while emergency and police are still on scene where a little girl baked to death. Chilling
It's crazy that the siblings didn't notice… must be a normal thing!
I would hate to have her as my doctor
Exactly what kind of car is a “Honda Acura”? 🤔
It happens far more than once every couple of years.. what crappy journalism
Love all the people in the comments insinuating that playing video games is immature and lazy… meanwhile they’re blatantly wasting their time watching true crime stories on YT
