DaC – Reunited Kingdom: 39, Well… That was Close

Dac V5 is still being worked on and this is a pre-release version.

The latest public version of DaC (V4.6) released on the 25th April 2021.

I was the modding lead for Divide and Conquer for 9 years and it is a total conversion mod that brings Lord of the Rings to the total war setting.

  1. The reason the banners are the same at 3:30 is because it's based on percentage, not raw numbers.
So cav units are smaller (71 when st full size) and infantry are 100+. But a cav unit at 71 and a full infantry unit at 100whatever is the same percentage, so it looks the same on the banner

  2. Thank you for this cheerful (writing this at the start of the video) video. And reading some of the spoilers I am really looking forward to this battle!
(I always assumed that a full banner equals all slots full with complete units, if the units have 61 or 250 doesn't matter. Half a banner could be half the slots full or all slots with half complete units, not sure if this is true but it was always my assumption.)

  3. It is possible to "layer" other infantry on top of your pikewalls, when you are short on pikes; your pikes can attack past 1 or 2 troops in front of them, but it prevents the enemy troops from getting in melee contact with your pike formations, and thus breaking up the wall (as your pikemen automatically drop pikes for 2ndary weapons when they start melee'ing.)
Bit cheesy – but it can really increase the longevity of pikes when you are strongpointing a spot.

  4. I'm happy to have the video. Intro would have been a nice touch to pay tribute to the AI doing anything but I'm glad just to hear your voice. Have a great day!
