Where the magic one would be helpfull is to quick swap on a hammerdin during that one wave of bail minions he would do some dammage then
I don't think they could make it one per character unless the game basically tells you what the charm is before you pick it up. Unless you need to choose between one of these and gheeds.

So if one person has these are the monsters broken or is it just -res?
I think it should just be minus res charms honestly this sounds like it breaks multiplayer
I heard terror zones would only be on ladder. This would make them ladder only items. I have no plans to play ladder, so that makes them worthless to me. Nor do I want to have to trade for them once they hit NL just to play my fire claw druid in hell. D4 will prolly drop soon after that.

I've been playing a Charged Strike spearazon running infinity in a stygian pike. That character will be absolutely sick with one of these charms. And of course the Blizzard/Frozen Orb sorceress will be queen of the ladder (especially at the start).
great video and great testing. im quite unsure about these new items atm, i feel they are a bit rushed. i hope though they will make the skin of the charms look normal like a gheeds. also i hope they will call each version of it the same (Sunder Charm), cuz Hellfire torches and Rainbow Facets also all have the same name. Just my two cents.

Will we get these for non-ladder PS5 /XBOX players? We're still haven't got the Terror Zone updates. Hopefully they won't let us hanging as this is a major change to d2

It's not a step forward for the d2 purist, which the culture is suppose to establish their standards and expect nothing short of "the finishing of the job THE RIGHT WAY" to solve the progressively sexist game design once and for all, but progressive sexism has weakened an oriented and prioritized sense of quality values of the culture in the first place. This is how Blizzard makes money on "the cover up" of progressive sexism for the secondary slap in the face of humanity as the accurate suspicion of the "sorceress dependant role" out of the conceptual trinity of soloist, support and dependant is swept under the rug.
Perhaps the magic damage charm will become more useful as I think a hammerdin nerf is coming. At minimum for terror zones as Blizzard has responded to the hammerdin being too OP in them. This charm could be essential for leveling a hammerdin in terror zones.
This will only work if u r allowed to equip 1 at a time… This will take the challenge out the game, Make everything extremely easy, and possible ruin the game….
the cold sunder charm for wind druids will be quite nice, considering how cyclone shield works and how cyclone functions
being able to chill cold immunes will help greatly in protecting the druid, and the negative resists will not impact how quickly their elemental shield will absorb at all since they don't take resists into play
As someone who always plays a summoner it’s a bit disappointing it doesn’t help minions in any way. Granted any summoner is primarily doing corpse explosion damage on trash. Not sure it’s really worth using with corpse explosion since it is dual damage type to begin with and melts anything that isn’t both fire and physical immune. But still a very cool change and one that hopefully let’s some less played builds shine!
Quick question about ladder season, I don't really understand the ladder change over. If you play on Single player, do you also lose all you're equipment when the ladder changes over or is that a online thing only? when I created my offline character I did click on "Ladder" option because at the time it was all that was available… Will I lose all my gear and gear found when the ladder takes place in October?
So this plus infinity makes a light sorc a god.
My prediction would be that… wizardspike will be the newest meta and will skyrocket in fg and hrs
The fire charm is the most useful here. You can have the flickering flame rune word bonus resist fire aura to offset the negative fire resistance.
In my opinion, They could have just set a threshold for immunity like a regenerative shield.
if taking too much elemental dmg it will just break the immunity (like what they did here, to 95% or whatever)for a few seconds.
as opposed to all those charms that fill up your backpack rooms.
They're going to have to find a way to make this work for traps and summons, aren't they? I think if it doesn't affect the merc that's one thing, but preventing a substantial number of builds from accessing the benefits is still a problem in my eyes.
Still a very interesting way of addressing challenges with immunities in the endgame.
cold sorc using blackoak instead of spirit or storm shield could be nice. and save on strength

Its very boring gameplay, with this charms becase you killing everything very easy? This PTR dont even have best items we doing huge amount of damage? I hope they have something hard becase why play a game there you can kill everything easy? what is point? We killed TZ in 2 mins with 4 other players? No challanges at all ??

Continuing with build balancing is the way to go. Focus more on hybrid setups with less synergies needed to make more hybrid builds efficient. This solves a number of issues including build diversity, build experimentation & unique builds.
I guarantee you the meta will adopt the most powerful heavy hitter builds and the rest of the builds will largely be abandoned, aoe heavy hitters will be the meta without having to worry about resistances. Just point and click, repeat. Next game. Braindead play. No offense…
I just expected terror zones to be challenging areas with higher monster density, more resists and immunities forcing players to go hybrid or team up in order to deal with what they encounter in these areas.
Just me who thinks this way? This isn't the direction I was thinking leading up to the announcement…

Can you reroll one of the new Unique Grand Charms using the Horadric Cube recipe and will it CHANGE? Like, to one of the DIFFERENT Unique Grand Charms?
Or will it just stay the same and/or not work at all?

are these difficult to obtain? most casters cant even do hell without infinity or a merc thats better equipped than your char

Gonna make it harder to find good gheeds tho gotta imagine at some point every1 will have a million of these each and just want better gheed rolls
These sunder charms are outrageously overpowered. Hope they don't make it to live. Maybe limit them to ladder only and disable them at season end?
You used the word "cap", to clarify, for example, if a monster has 150% base cold res, do I still need to go all the way from 150 with other resistance reduction sources, or the first facet will already lower it from 95% to 90%?
Hi first time here and I loved the video. My question is can you reroll the charm and will it stay a sundered charm or will it revert back into a grand charm?
You almost want to keep these in your cube until you really need it!
I think the 1/5 resistance reduction penalty for immune monsters should apply to sundered monsters as well. Otherwise some builds like cold sorc will be insanely OP.
Also I'm not sure if grand charms are the best place for this mechanic. Maybe it would be better if they slapped these effects on some of the crap weapons that no one ever uses. There are tons of these in the game, would love to see a use for them.
