  1. This fucking scene hit me so hard when you realize what using the Sandy to escape means for David. As he is escaping he has to watch Maine, this only remaining parental figure, quite literally torn to pieces by the blast.

  2. I absolutely love those small shots after Maine's body dissapears, where you see his past self standing at the end of the line, unable to keep going, while David goes beyond it, running in desperation without looking back. Maine pushed himself to a point where he couldn't keep going anymore, being left behind, and unfortunately, it led David onto a similar path

  3. this scene alone is a masterpiece , although very tragic , it pretty much explains the life of NightCity, just keep running till hit the end of road , you die surviving it , or get out of it , the way the music goes along with the scene is amazing and emotional , gives me goosebumps

  4. This episode really stood out among all the others in the series. The desert imagery was fascinating to me, but I couldn't figure out why.
After re-watching the episode a number of times I understood why it caught my attention.

    You never see Maine running.
Maine is always wearing his tank top, even when not in the desert.

"So did Kiwi managed to—-fuck you mean Maine and Dorio are dead"

  6. I think the reason David reacts this way towards Maine's death and not his mom's is because he'd already used up all of his strength to hide that pain. He found shelter in Maine, perhaps seeing him as another parental figure, and once he loses him as well even after trying to do everything possible to prevent it, he essentially experiences both the pain of his mother's loss as well as Maine's. He can't hide from the pain any longer so he finally explodes.

  7. i felt so sad for Maine especially the scenes where you see younger him going for that road that just ends. literally the end of the road but nothing hurts more than seeing david run away from him in that vision and seeing Maine left behind while david screams and runs, they're just all so lovable.
