After finding this channel 2 years ago, It has helped me understand my ancestry, as I am an American. Thank you.
back in the 80s Duke University had a fine running back known as Randy Cuthbert. a real bruiser.
This was amazing!
How many miles does Tony walk yearly?
Congratulations on formally being Knigted by the late Queen Elizabeth ii
SIR Tony Robinson đ
WALKING TRAVELOGUES ARE NOT HISTORY
It makes me think of the Protestant reformation but almost 1000 years before it.
This has got to be the most propaganda based video you guys have ever uploaded. The warring pagans converted into the peaceful christian faith. They were converted by sward point. Convert or die. The Christian faith at that time was more akin to Nazi Germany.
Cuthbertâs storey of being fed by an Eagle isnât that strange. Iâve seen that happen! Eagles will drop the fish because itâs struggling or sometimes they just drop it and hang about. You can call him lucky, but I believe good things come from God.

Thank you..
American? With that accent?
As a little girl I went to the village school in what is now Tyne and Wear. Our sporting teams/houses were Cuthbert, Chad, Bede and Aidan, though I don't recall anyone explaining those names to us
âPut down their swords and become Christianâ
Cossacks: and I took that personally
The reformation was disastrous to the monastic life in Britain. So many beautiful abbeys and manastaries destroyed. You cant throw a stone without hitting a destroyed abbey. A real shame.
A fishing liscense in britain costs over 100lbs a day? Thats five years of fishing in the states!
Fantastic doc thank you. †from đșđž
St Cuthbertâs well, how astounding that this was only recently discovered. Wonderful history.
Usual Roman Catholic heresy
Speaks to my soul as I am from Durham. I know this was about Cuthbert, but Aidan is worth a mention too, as his importance cannot be understated.
