I love watching you guys develop your homestead and learn new skills as you go forward. So many young people these days are feckless and want everything brand new and right now and are happy to go in to debt to get it. But you are both level headed and doing it the correct way in my opinion. I am also impressed by the way Summer is so at home in the kitchen and looks after Cody when so many people these days cant boil an egg. I wish there were more young people like you here in Scotland and everywhere for that matter. Good luck with it all.

Summer did you know baby carrots are washed in chlorine solution before packaging. Old large carrot cut and shaped into small pieces. They are called baby carrots. I cut up large carrots for my bite size snack.
I saw a video where a woodworker did what you did with the knot but he cleaned out the hole found a dowel big enough to fit it, glued it and then cleaned it up and presto no knot hole. Thought you might like to know.
At 6:47 did he say “hey babe, do you want to come and feel my wood” ?

If you put extra glue on the edges before you join the wood the glue will come out the sides. Just let it dry and sand it. Gap filled😊
Great job Cody, looking good mate but you may want to consider the window in door theory, most non perishables should be stored in cool dark condition what about a mirror instead this will have added benefit of illusion of more space, keep it up Summer
