CRUSHER STAMPEDE vs STORMRAVEN ASSAULT! – Warhammer 40k Battle Report: Tyranids vs. Blood Angels

This week the Tyranid Crusher Stampede stands in the way of the Blood Angels. The Space Marines call in a Stormraven Gunship and the might of their Sanguinary guard to stop it, but will it be enough?

  1. Nice paintjobs on the terrain and models especially on the chitin. This way of doing a battle report is actually more friendly for the audience as they don´t have to sit straight for 60-90 min. to see what´s happening or maybe I just don´t have the patience anymore to watch a full movie batrep.

    A few suggestions:
Large bases profit more from adding additional features (stones, tufts, trophies, victims, barbed wire, barrels, etc.) because otherwise they seem to appear a bit empty.
Battlefield could benefit from scatter terrain. I personally used stones gathered from train tracks (zero costs) glued on plastic card although anything else might serve as swell.

    Last but not least:
Inviting a Lamenters dreadnought to a bug hunt wasn´t a good idea as it´s bad luck rubbed off onto the unfortunate Blood Angels as they narrowly missed an opportunity for an orbital bombardment.

  2. Holy crap, that Tyrannofex did the Hive Mind's work, taking out the Stormraven and the Dread without breaking a sweat. I'm pretty sure those two losses won the battle for Meg. Is it really that broken or was it just some lucky rolls?
