  1. Cheapest cruise (2nd cruise ever)- just got off the Paradise, 5 day western cruise for $832 with $500 OBC. Spent 4 extra days in Channel District of Tampa- Home2/Hampton Inn for 4 nights- just under $1200! Included breakfast. There is a Publix grocery store nearby (subs, rotisserie chicken for lunches) and we loved riding the Trolley for restaurants for dinner. We enjoyed a preseason hockey game, so I do feel bad for the fam that had soccer tickets. I would def try to coordinate hockey game and cruise together again.

  2. If it's about being on vacation versus a specific location or landmarks cruising is by far the best. It's perfect for multi-generational vacations and it is the most economical. Thanks, Tony! And thanks for not constantly using clickbait titles. I am seeing more cruise vloggers using clickbait and it is turning me off to their channels.

  3. So not related to today's show, but did Holland help reschedule your Canada trip? This is the true definition of customer service. When things go off track is when it really matters.

  4. We have had a few free PLUS onboard credit cruises, but without the VIFP special rate of zero, our cheapest cruise per night was a 13 day Mexican Riviera+ on Carnival Magic. It was $273 pp ($21 per night) for a balcony room! We decided last minute to take a cruise while on the west coast so booked 9 days before sailing. The ship was far from full so our neighbor decided to go too and booked 6 days prior to sailing. Someone must have cancelled because his cabin wasn’t available when we booked, and he was able to get a suite for $50per night! It was a fantastic cruise. We ended up in PV overnight in PV during Mardi Gras so we got a hotel room (to use for changing and keeping our things close) and we got dressed up and participated in the festivities! It was magical

  5. Out of the 28 cruises I’ve done on Carnival since 2010, 3 have been on Ecstasy. I have some great memories and met great people on that ship. Did a Carnival Live on her once too and see REO Speedwagon

  6. It really depends on the cruise itinerary as well. For example, the pp rate, depending on where you see the price does not include port charges, fees and crew tips. Those ships that cruise through the Panama Canal have hefty fees so that PP price doesn't include that. Also, port heavy cruises will bump up the prices. Finally, we always do a few upgraded dining experiences and of course, excursions add to the overall price. However, in saying all of that there are cruises that are pretty cheap because they have a great pp starting price, port fees are cheap and you don't have to upgrade your dining or do the excursions.

  7. I can't remember how much it was, but I think the cheapest cruise I've been on with my family (just my mom and younger brother at the time) back in 2019 was on Carnival Dream. Granted we were also going with a group (not family). And they always say the more people that are coming the cheaper it is 🤷.

Had a good time on it until I got seasick on the last day lol 😂😭! But our current cruise we have booked for August 2023 on NCL Pride of America is definitely our most expensive cruise to date so far 💸💸💸! It's a good thing we booked a year in advance to give ourselves time to make payments on it 😅.

  8. I live inland of Jekyll island, in Brunswick. I love it here, if you love nature and trails and sea turtles, this place is for you. And It is a beautiful place in winter, Haha but due to the new hotels and updated things everything on the island is super expensive.

  9. January of this year 7 days on Carnival Panorama 115 plus tax. May 10 days Alaska from San Francisco 255 plus tax. You need to factor in that tax and guest service charge to get true price per night.

  10. Best value to me seems to be Transatlantic with about 20 days in Euope included The best of both worlds and with the dollars value now really much lower then US hotel costs.

  11. While we LOVE cruising it is BY FAR not the cheapest for my family. Because we live in the midwest, we have to fly to the port, usually get transportation to and from the port, and stay overnight at the port the night before. That adds almost $2k to our trip before we've even booked for our family of 4.

  12. This video is really misleading. You aren’t including the port fees and taxes. that “$50” a night ends up being several hundred dollars a night, especially once you factor in it’s PER Person and that goes up of you want a balcony room, You can easily find cheap hotels. The added value of free food, shows and different ports makes cruising a decent deal compared to hotel.

  13. We are looking to take our two young Grandkids to Disney World. But when you consider food costs, huge crowds, miles of walking, and hot weather, a Disney Cruise might be a much better deal! Just not sure if the experience would be as great for the kids (currently ages 7 and 9) – not too many rides on the ship, but I’m sure the character meet and greets, pools, and shows would be just as good or better on the ship. Any thoughts?

  14. In August I paid $30 pp on carnival breeze for 5 days Cozumel and progresso… Here's the kicker… Balcony rooms. I ended up getting 2 rooms for 3 people. The port fees and taxes were more than cruise rate. Less than 400 total

  15. I'm super fixated on price. Not just cruising, everything, so I've had a few really good deals in the 16 cruises that I've been on. In April 2016, I sailed on NCL Star from Tampa to Copenhagen for $25 per night, per person. It was $349 for a 14 night Transatlantic. It was only an inside room, but I got a room on the 12th floor in the middle of all the suites. The service of a suite steward with the price of an inside cabin. It would be hard to find a flight only for that. Add in the food (I think I ate more than $25/day) and it's hard to beat.

  16. Have a cruise coming up in December on Carnival Glory. Seven nights at $31.00 dollars a night. Haven’t seen a hotel rate like that since we packed in four people in a Super 8 Hotel….😂

  17. Great deals, but I still cant believe the deal I got! I am cruising in November on Carnival Splendor for $6.75/per night/per person in Great Barrier Reef Australia! Plus $1300 OBC.

  18. Hey Tony! We just came back from a 5 day cruise on Carnival Magic. Our base rate for this cruise was $85/ person.$17/night. All in for 2 with taxes, insurance, and prepaid gratuities was $630 This was a real bargain. Thanks for all of your great cruising information.

  19. Tony – any tips/tricks on how to find decent prices on The Haven/The Retreat/Yacht Club? I keep hearing that our economy is struggling but you would NEVER know it when you look at prices for these suite categories…. Eye popping to say the least

  20. Cheapest cruise taken was on the Majesty of the Seas (pre-pandemic) at $65/night. We actually scored a great deal on the Carnival Valor next year that comes in at $46/night. These prices are without port fees and taxes.
