  1. The phone attachment just makes me sad that the modular phone concept was scrapped. There were prototypes of phones where you could hot-swap a battery, camera, etc. You could even power down and swap the CPU and add/remove memory. It also would've meant that screen fixes would've been easier and cheaper for people. Plus, the open nature of the modules meant that more niche products like medical attachments could've been created.

  2. With Botany, I've seen it REPEATEDLY advertised all over my Instagram and YouTube channels so maybe it's some aggressive and/or targetted advertising that has caused it to do so well?

  3. Thanks for featuring our game Lindyhop and I hope it lives up to Zee’s hopes! To answer the question about information on the others hand; you start the game by the Lead choosing out of two open hands. After that it’s up to you to card count from the 40 dance cards available.

  4. Tin Robot: "No one involved in this game has ever made a game like this before, but we're never selling this version again so you can't just wait to see if we can actually deliver what we're promising."

  5. Monster Hunter has gotten the same kind of reviews as every other SFG, or Awaken Realms, game. The people who paid a fortune for it are judging it based on how much money they sunk into it, while everyone else is saying "Meh, it's OK I guess."

  6. I don’t have that many games. My let down was gloomhaven. Its really hard to get to the table. After 10 missions I was done. I was bored. I understand it’s rated as a top game, I’m glad people love it but it’s not for me. Happy gaming everyone!

  7. I backed Botany because I like the art, the time period it's set in, and it's pick-up and deliver essentially, which is a mechanism that I like. For what it's worth the "take-that" aspect of the game doesn't actually have to be utilized to play it. You can cater that to what your group likes. I think it's popularity is because it hits several different niche groups – plant people, Victorian history people, board game people. Like, this game was shared to several groups I also follow that aren't board game related at all but had to do with the Victorian theme aspect. I think the carry-over to other groups beyond board games was underestimated and is one of the main reasons it's doing so well.
